An electrically adjustable furniture unit, such as a sofa bed or recliner, comprises a static frame having a plurality of frame elements comprising side frame elements. At least two of the frame elements are arranged substantially parallel to each other. The furniture unit further comprises a plurality of kinematics modules comprising electrically adjustable arms, wherein the kinematics modules are contained in the at least two frame elements that are arranged substantially parallel to each other. A control unit is electrically coupled to each of the kinematics modules, wherein the control unit is adjusted to combine backrest arms of the adjustable arms to a first adjustment group and to combine legrest arms of the adjustable arms to a second adjustment group, and wherein for a backrest adjustment the control unit controls the backrest arms in the first adjustment group in parallel or synchronously and wherein for a legrest adjustment the control unit controls the legrest arms in the second adjustment group in parallel or synchronously.

A modular seating system includes a plurality of side frames, seat back assemblies and seat bottom assemblies. Each of the side frames includes a base member configured to support the side frame on an underlying surface and an arm member extending upwardly from the base member. Each of the seat back assemblies and seat bottom assemblies are releasably connected between an adjacent pair of side frames. In use, the plurality of side frames are placed, freestanding, on an underlying surface. The plurality of seat back assemblies and seat bottom assemblies are then releasably connected therebetween to form a plurality of seats.

A magnetic leg glide apparatus for holding an outdoor furniture article against a ground surface in windy weather conditions includes a base member that includes a mounting plate constructed of a magnetic material and having a circular and planar configuration and that includes a fastener having a linear configuration extending away from a bottom side of the base member. The magnetic leg glide apparatus includes a glide member having a bottom wall constructed of a magnetic material of an opposite polarity to the magnetic material of the base member, the glide member having a side wall extending upwardly from a peripheral edge of the bottom wall, the side wall defining an open top and an interior area accessible via the open top for operably receiving a leg of the outdoor furniture article. The base member and the glide member are magnetically attracted to one another.

The present invention surrounds a seating apparatus having an arm-rest assembly configured to traverse behind a seat-back, and arm-rests which extend forward of the seat back. Embodiments discussed herein include an inflatable chamber for providing positive buoyancy and structure. Certain embodiments of the present invention are configured primarily for use in a body of water, while other embodiments are configured for use in water or upon a surface.

A lounge chair assembly includes a lounge chair and a cover. The lounge chair includes a frame having longitudinal frame members, lateral frame members extended between the longitudinal frame members, and legs connected to the frame members. A main seat and a backrest are supported by the frame. The main seat and the backrest together define a supporting outer surface of the lounge chair. The cover protects the supporting outer surface. The cover includes a body and at least one flap extended outwardly from the body. The body is made of a weather-resistant material having a perimeter sized and shaped substantially similar to an outer perimeter of the outer surface. The at least one end flap is configured for releasable engagement to the lounge chair for holding the cover to the lounge chair.

A modular furniture assembly includes: a base member having a frame assembly, a transverse member having a frame assembly, a foot configured to contact a support surface, and a mounting platform having a plurality of apertures therethrough. The mounting platform is configured to be mounted on the base member frame assembly and the transverse member frame assembly, thereby connecting the frame assemblies. The foot is selectively mounted on the mounting platform, such that the foot is configured to contact the support surface when the modular furniture assembly is in an upright configuration. A medical diagnostic device comprises a contact surface wherein a part of the patient's body contacts the diagnostic device. The contact surface is configured with one or more indentations having a shape configured to receive the cushion. A magnet disposed proximate the indentation is oriented to attract the magnet within the cushion when the cushion is placed in the indentation to retain the cushion therein.
