Drill Guides With Canting Base and Dowel Jig Attachments
These inventions include three drill guides (Multiguide, Triguide, and Uniguide), and two attachments (canting base and dowel jig). The drill guides allow users to drill holes to prescribed depths into flat work surfaces using various sizes of bits including twist and auger bits while eliminating marring and reducing wood splintering. The canting base attachment allows users to drill holes to prescribed depths and at variable angles into flat surfaces and both large and small cylinders having zero, one, or two free ends using various kinds and sizes of drilling tools including twist, auger, and Forstner bits. The dowel jig attachment allows users to drill dowel holes to prescribed depths in edges and faces of workpieces that are evenly spaced apart by numerous gauged distances and at adjustable distances from edges without slippage or misalignment. These inventions have drill press-like capabilities and can be used in fields and shops.
IMPROVEMENTS TO JIG APPARATUS
The invention relates to jig apparatus (2) for use in the positioning of a workpiece (22) in which one or more apertures are to be formed using a power tool (25), said jig including at least one elongate member (30, 32, 34), which is extendable from a side of the base (4) of the jig and connected thereto via engagement means (40). A locator (56) is selectively positionable on the elongate member and lockable in the said selected position to allow the workpiece to be located therewith and thereby locate the workpiece in a required position with respect to the jig apparatus.
Miter Bar Pocket Hole Jig Systems and Methods
Jigs, fixtures, accessories, and the like for locating, aligning, guiding, engaging, and/or holding a workpiece on a woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs, fixtures, and accessories.
Apparatus for forming a channel in a workpiece
An apparatus for the formation of a channel in a workpiece located at a first face of a base of the body of the apparatus, the channel formed by a drill assembly of the apparatus connected to drive means located on a second opposing side of the base, the drill assembly and drive means mounted so as to be movable in a guided manner with respect to the base. The movement is achieved by manual movement of a gripping means of an actuation means of the apparatus with respect to the base, so as to cause one or more flexible connecting members of the actuation means which are positioned intermediate the gripping means and drill assembly to move and advance the drill assembly towards the workpiece. The channel is formed in accurate manner which then allows the same to receive securing means typically to allow a joint between first and second workpieces to be accurately formed.
HANDHELD POWERED POCKET HOLE DRILL SYSTEM
A handheld powered pocket hole drilling system is provided. The system includes a base assembly having a plate. The plate has a drill bit opening extending through the plate. The system includes a drilling assembly and a drill bit connected to the drilling assembly. A drill guide assembly is operably connected to the base assembly and the drilling assembly. The drilling assembly is movable along the drill guide assembly to extend and retract the drill bit through the drill bit opening at an angle. An actuating assembly is operably connected to the drilling assembly. The actuating assembly is configured to move the drilling assembly and drill bit between a retracted position and an extended position. In some arrangements, the actuating assembly moves a drilling assembly and drill bit rearward and downward to the extended position and a handle of the actuating assembly is moved forward and downward.
Modular Jig and Fixture Systems and Methods
Jigs and fixtures for aligning, guiding, and/or holding a workpiece on woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs and fixtures.
SELF-ADJUSTING POCKET HOLE JIG SYSTEM
A self-adjusting pocket hole jig system is presented having a base, an upright assembly operably connected to the base, a clamping assembly, operably connected to the upright assembly, a handle operably connected to the clamping assembly, and a drill guide assembly operably connected to the clamping assembly. The drill guide assembly is configured and arranged to move along the upright assembly between an unclamped position and a clamped position in response to movement of the handle. Movement of the handle simultaneously adjusts the height of the drill guide assembly as well as facilitates clamping of the drill guide assembly for workpieces of various thicknesses.
POCKET HOLE JIG
A pocket hole jig includes a base having a first end, a second end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The base further including a drill bit aperture positioned proximate the first end and extending through a portion of the base. The drill bit aperture oriented at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The pocket hole jig further includes a fence pivotally coupled to the base proximate the second end of the base. The fence including a contact surface, and the fence pivotal about an axis transverse to a longitudinal axis of the drill bit aperture.
Drill guide with canting base and dowel jig attachments
This invention includes a drill guide (drill depth stop and alignment tool), canting base attachment, and self-aligning dowel jig attachment that allows users to drill holes to prescribed depths into flat work surfaces using various sizes of twist and auger bits while eliminating marring and reducing wood splintering. The canting base attachment allows users to drill holes to prescribed depths and at variable angles into flat surfaces and both large and small cylinders with no free ends using various kinds and sizes of drilling tools without marring. The dowel jig attachment allows users to drill dowel holes to prescribed depths in edges and faces of work pieces that are evenly spaced apart by numerous gauged distances and at infinitely adjustable distances from edges. This invention has drill press-like capabilities and can be used in fields and shops.
AUTO-ADJUSTABLE POCKET HOLE JIG DOCKING STATION
An auto-adjusting pocket hole jig docking station including a housing and an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism carried by the housing and including a first rack and a second rack reciprocally movable between raised and lowered positions, relative the body. A double pinion gear is rotatably carried by the housing with a first gear in meshing engagement with the first rack and a second gear in meshing engagement with the second rack. The first gear and the second gear having a rotational ratio therebetween wherein movement of one of the first rack and the second rack moves the other of the first rack and the second rack a distance proportional to the rotational ratio.
