MODIFIED DRILL GUIDE SYSTEM
A pocket hole jig system is presented having a guide assembly having a drilling face and a plurality of drill guides that intersect with the drilling face. The main body of the guide assembly is formed of a first material that is rigid and provides structural integrity to the guide assembly. The first material has a low coefficient of friction. A grip layer is placed on the drilling face of the guide assembly. The grip layer is formed of a softer material that has a higher coefficient of friction than the material that forms the main body of the guide assembly. When placed on a workpiece, the grip layer provides increased grip on the workpiece thereby holding the workpiece and guide assembly in place and requiring less clamping pressure to hold the workpiece and guide assembly together.
Machining system for turbomachine dovetail
Various embodiments include a system for machining a hole in a turbine blade. The system can include: a mount for engaging a first side of a turbine rotor, the mount including: a drill plate for coupling with the first side of the turbine rotor, the drill plate having: a body; a feed opening on a first side of the body; a passage extending from the feed opening through the body; and a second opening on a second side of the body, the second opening coupled with the passage and positioned to align with the pre-formed hole in the turbine rotor; an alignment bushing for engaging the pre-formed hole in the rotor at a second side of the rotor; and a cutting device for extending through the body and alignment bushing, the cutting device for machining the hole in the blade, the cutting device aligned along a chamfer axis relative to a primary axis of the turbine rotor.
Replicated hole pattern for remotely located structural components
Embodiments herein provide drill hole location transfer between remote components. One embodiment is an apparatus for replicating drill holes of a first workpiece on a second workpiece remotely located from the first workpiece. The apparatus includes an interface to receive coordinate data of first alignment pins installed to first template holes of a first drill plate, and a receptacle to receive a second drill plate having second template holes that match a pattern of the first templates holes of the first drill plate. A pin setting device moves a reference member in a plane over the receptacle, and positions the reference member with respect to the second drill plate based on the coordinate data of the first alignment pins, thus indicating locations within the second template holes to position drill bushings for replicating the first holes of the first workpiece on the second workpiece.
Door lock set installation kit
A kit for assisting in the location of holes to be drilled in a door of a thickness between 1 to 1 for the installation of a conventional lock set at a backset of either 2 or 2 with no additional hardware and without damaging the door. A first guide plate defines a first hole saw guide. A second guide plate is attachable to the first guide plate in one of two orientations and defines a second hole saw guide. At least one clamping member is carried by the second guide plate and extends substantially parallel to the first guide plate. Each of the first guide plate and the clamping member define opposing biasing members such that when mounted on a door, the door is centered within the kit.
Pocket hole jig
A pocket hole jig includes a body with a base surface positionable against a workpiece, and a drill guide pivotally coupled to the body. The drill guide defines a guide axis such that a drill bit is insertable into the drill guide along the guide axis. The drill guide is pivotable relative to the body to adjust an inclination angle of the guide axis relative to the base surface.
Pocket hole jig
A pocket hole jig includes base with a base plate and first and second lateral side walls extending along the base plate, and a body disposed between the first and second lateral side walls and slidable along the base in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The body includes a drill bit aperture angled downward toward the base plate. The pocket hole jig also includes a fence movable between a raised position and a lowered position and having a contact surface engageable with an end of the workpiece when the fence is in the lowered position to position the base a predetermined distance from the end of the workpiece. The contact surface is in a first position when the fence is in the raised position and a second position when the fence is in the lowered position. The second position is forward of the first position.
Systems and Methods of a Guide for Widening an Existing Drilled Hole
The present technology presents system of a guide for widening a drilled hole. In various embodiments the system comprises a hub including a circular central member and a plurality of slots for shims around a circumference of the circular central member. Embodiments include a plurality of shims with the plurality of shims being fit into the plurality of slots around the circumference of the circular central member. Furthermore, the plurality of shims each include a narrow end and a wide end with the narrow end of each of the plurality of shims being in a same direction and the wide end of each of the plurality of shims being in an opposite direction to the narrow end allowing for the guide to fit securely into the existing hole before drilling the new hole.
Piling guide tool
A piling guide tool for forming a cutout for seating a brace plate on a post. The piling guide tool has a body with first and second surfaces, first and second side edges, first and second end edges, and a router guide area adjacent to an opening in the body. A pivotally mounting bolt guide mounting plate is used to cover and uncover the opening. A bolt hole guiding assembly supported on the guide mounting plate has two cylindrical hollow guides. Width adjusting assemblies are slidably mounted on the lower surface of the tool and has a movable guide rail and an adjusting screw assembly with a threaded bolt connected to the guide rail for movement thereof toward and away from the opening. Slots receive bolts to allow movement of the guide rail on the lower surface of the tool. Method for using the tool is also disclosed.
Drilling Accessory
THIS invention relates to a drilling accessory for a power drill drilling accessory that assists the operator of the power drill to correctly align and orientate the drill bit of the power drill with the target object, and collects the dust and/or debris arising from such drilling. The drilling accessory includes a cap having a plurality of differently sized guide holes and a container to which the cap is pivotally connected. The container comprises a first through hole, which on rotation of the cap relative to the container, enables the first through hole to be aligned with the require guide hole thereby to allow a drill bit to pass therethrough. The container further comprises a base having a planar support surface portion and a seal portion protruding outwardly from the support surface portion towards a contact lip, which contact lip defines a second through hole coaxially aligned with the first through hole. The protruding seal portion defines a bore therein tapering radially inwardly from the planar surface portion of the base towards the contact lip, which in use biases the contact lip into sealing engagement with the target object to efficiently collect dust and debris, with substantially the entire planar support surface portion contacting the target object thereby to provide a stability for drilling straight holes.
GUIDE TEMPLATE
A guide template having a tool guide for a working tool, for producing a main-side cut-out on a workpiece main-side surface of a workpiece which workpiece has a workpiece secondary-side surface, which is at an angle to the workpiece main-side surface and proceeding from which a secondary-side cut-out extends into the workpiece next to the workpiece main-side surface at a distance therefrom, wherein the guide template includes a main-side stop having a main-side stop surface for making contact with the workpiece main-side surface and includes a secondary-side stop, which has an engagement protrusion for engaging the secondary-side cut-out, wherein a longitudinal axis of the engagement protrusion extends toward the tool guide to an intersection region, in which the main-side cut-out to be produced and the secondary-side cut-out intersect, and is at an angle to a guide longitudinal axis of the tool guide wherein the guide template includes a depth stop having a depth stop surface for a counter stop assigned to the working tool for limiting the penetration depth of the working tool into the workpiece with respect to the guide longitudinal axis.
