Drill head for deep hole cutting
A drill head for deep-hole drilling includes cutting blade tips brazed to cutting chip discharge ports opened on a head distal end surface, guide pads mounted on a plurality of positions of the circumferential surface at the head distal end side, and a hollow inside portion made into a cutting chip discharge passage communicating with the cutting chip discharge ports. A guide pad portion having an arc surface that slide-contacts with the inner circumference of a cutting hole is formed on the outer end surface of the circumferential portion cutting blade tip.
ROTARY CUTTING TOOL INCLUDING POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND MATERIAL
A rotary cutting tool including a polycrystalline diamond material of the invention includes: a tool body rotated about an axis with a carbide substrate made of cemented carbide and a flute provided at a tip portion thereof; a PCD layer sintered integrally with the carbide substrate, provided on an inside face of the flute facing in a rotation direction; and a cutting edge provided on the PCD layer to have the inside face as a rake face, in which a margin portion continuous with a rear side of the flute in the rotation direction is formed on an outer periphery of the tip portion, the cutting edge is formed at a ridge portion of the rake face, and a thickness of the PCD layer is 1/3 to 1 times a width of the margin portion.
Drill
A ridgeline between the thinning face and the flank face includes a first thinning portion contiguous to the outer cutting edge, and a second thinning portion contiguous to the first thinning portion. When viewed in a direction along the central axis, the first thinning portion is linear and the second thinning portion is curved. When viewed in the direction along the central axis, the first thinning portion, and a boundary between the first thinning portion and the second thinning portion are located rearward in a rotational direction relative to a first straight line, and are located forward in the rotational direction relative to a second straight line, the first straight line being a straight line passing through the central axis and parallel to the first thinning portion, and the second straight line being a straight line perpendicular to the first straight line.
Twist drill
A twist drill has a shaft and a flute portion, which extends between a drill tip and the shaft and has at least two flutes, which run helically around it at an angle of twist, are separated from one another by two webs and have a land extending between the flutes on the circumference of the flute portion. In order to provide a twist drill that has the features mentioned at the beginning, has better lubrication of the round bevels, less wear, improved guidance and improved concentricity, at least two round bevels that are spaced apart from one another are provided on each land and extend on the land at an angle of inclination in relation to the drill axis that is greater than the angle of twist but less than 90.
Drill
The outer peripheral surface is provided with a first margin contiguous to each of the cutting edge and the flank face, and a second margin that is located on the rear side with respect to the first margin in a rotation direction and that is separated from each of the flank face and the thinning face. An outer peripheral portion of the first margin and an outer peripheral portion of the second margin have respective back tapers having the same angle. In a direction parallel to the axial line, a distance between a front end of the first margin and a front end of the second margin is more than or equal to 3 mm and less than or equal to 5 mm.
