The CNC machine tool may comprise a machining head 2 which may be connected to a Z-axis 1 such that it can be manually and/or automatically changed, and which may have at least two tool spindles 3 for receiving tools 4. The Z-axis 1 can be moved in a linear manner at least along two linear axial directions. The Z-axis 1 and/or the machining head 2 may have at least one axis of rotation.
DEVICE, METHOD, AND CUTTING PLATE FOR MACHINING A ROTATING WORKPIECE
A method and a device for machining a workpiece rotating about a rotational axis. The machining point moves along the cutting edge of a cutting edge plane and the surface to be machined in a rolling movement on an advancement plane not intersected by the rotational axis. A pivot drive implements a large enough pivot angle so that a first workpiece surface is machined by a machining point moving along the first cutting edge in a first machining step. In a second machining step, a second workpiece surface is machined, wherein the machining point moves along the second cutting edge and the second workpiece surface. The cutting edge has a curvature radius smaller than the distance from the pivot axis of the holder to the cutting edge. The holder can additionally be displaced on the advancement plane with a movement component in a direction transverse to the rotational axis.
VARIABLE LENGTH TOOL HOLDER
A tool holder includes a main body defining a body axis and comprising a witness hole extending perpendicular to the body axis; an extension within the main body along the body axis; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the extension along the body axis relative to the main body when the extension is visible through the witness hole. A length of the tool holder can be defined by moving the extension between various witness holes in the main body. The tool holder comprises a head configured to receive at least one tool.
Mud mixer
A mud mixer includes a tool body, and an electric motor supported by the tool body that is configured to rotate a mixing element about a rotation axis. The mud mixer further includes a first handle fixedly coupled to the tool body and extending from the tool body along a handle axis, a plane angled relative to the rotation axis and defined as an extension of the handle axis, and a second handle rotatably coupled to the tool body about the rotation axis and extending from the tool body in a direction parallel to the plane.
SELF-ADJUSTING POCKET HOLE JIG SYSTEM
A self-adjusting pocket hole jig system is presented having a base, an upright assembly operably connected to the base, a clamp and drill guide assembly operably connected to the upright assembly, and an actuator assembly operably connected to the clamp and drill guide assembly. The clamp and drill guide assembly is configured to move along the upright assembly in response to movement of a handle of the actuator assembly upward and downward. Movement of the handle downward automatically adjusts the height of the clamp and drill guide assembly based on thickness of the workpiece for drilling of a pocket hole. In one or more arrangements, rotation of the handle downward from a non-clamping position to a clamping position simultaneously locks the clamp and drill guide assembly in place along the upward assembly and clamps the workpiece between the clamp and drill guide assembly and a backstop of the base.
Toolholder with viscous fluid inertial mass damper
A toolholder includes a cutting tool mounted to a head attached to a collar at a first end of the toolholder. A shank is located at a second, opposite end of the toolholder. A central cavity extends inwardly from the first end toward the shank. A viscous fluid inertia mass damper is disposed within the central cavity. The viscous fluid inertia mass damper includes an absorber body having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a fluid reservoir formed in the damper body for containing a viscous fluid, and a plurality of apertures formed in the damper body for allowing the viscous fluid to flow from the fluid reservoir and through the apertures to suppress vibration of the toolholder. A method for suppressing vibrations in a toolholder is also disclosed.
Rail shoe assembly
A rail shoe assembly for mounting a drilling machine to a rail of a railway track, with the drilling machine including a drill, a cutter, and a support frame with the support frame mounted to the rail, includes a base adapted to be positioned with respect to the rail and adapted to be coupled to the support frame. The rail shoe assembly also includes an adjustable bar coupled to and slideable relative to the base. The adjustable bar has a bottom edge for engagement with the rail. The adjustable bar defines a plurality of position indicators and the base defines a plurality of mounting chambers. At least one of the plurality of position indicators and at least one of the plurality of mounting chambers are alignable at a predetermined position for positioning said base relative to the rail such that the drill and cutter are positioned relative to the rail.
Height adjusting swivel drill block
A drill block and a method for drilling a hole through a workpiece using the drill block. The drill block may include a mounting leg for mounting the drill block, a drilling support leg having a round hole therethrough operable to receive a drill bit during a drilling operation, and a height variability leg interposed between the mounting leg and the drilling support leg, wherein the height variability leg is adjustable to select a vertical height of the drilling support leg relative to the mounting leg.
Cutting edge adjustment device, rotary member applied to the device, and tool body, cartridge, and cutting insert having structures suitable for the device
A cutting edge adjustment device for a cutting tool for adjusting the position of a cutting edge of a cutting insert by causing movement of the cutting insert includes a rotary member for producing the movement. The rotary member is formed into a shape in which a substantially cylindrical portion having a constant radius and a cam portion having a cam face whose radius is gradually increased in a manner corresponding to the amount of the movement are arranged in a direction of a rotational center axis. The cam face is formed in such a manner as to have a section in which a radius is linearly increased, and consequently, the unit rotational angle of the rotary member on the rotational center axis is proportional to the unit movement amount of the cutting insert.

A cutter holder has a body, a collet fastening unit, a collet, a cutter, multiple concentricity adjusting units, and multiple straightness adjusting units. The collet fastening unit is assembled on the body. The collet is assembled on the collet fastening unit. The cutter is inserted into the collet. The body has a fastening flange which has multiple concentricity adjusting holes. The multiple concentricity adjusting units are respectively screwed in the multiple concentricity adjusting holes and abut against the collet fastening unit to correct the error of concentricity between the cutter and the body. The collet fastening unit has an assembling flange which has multiple straightness adjusting holes. The multiple straightness adjusting units are respectively screwed in the multiple straightness adjusting holes and abut against the body to correct the error of straightness between the body and the cutter.
