20200139449 · 2020-05-07 ·

A quick coupling unit for bar loader clamps includes an end shaft that can be accommodated rotatably within a corresponding seat of a tubular body that is integral with the bar pusher of said loader and an element for stable coupling to the terminal stem of the respective clamp. The element includes a sleeve provided with a recess whose shape and dimensions are complementary to those of an insert which can be accommodated in said recess. The quick coupling unit also includes a locking ring having a variable inside diameter that surmounts said sleeve, the rotation of the ring to a first configuration defines clamping of the insert within the recess and locking of the stem, and to a second configuration defining radial freedom of the insert and free exit of the stem.

ROBOTIC TOOL CHANGER HAVING OVER-CENTER CAM AND REMOTE POWER SOURCE
20200070362 · 2020-03-05 ·

A robotic tool changer includes a locking mechanism that enhances safety. More particularly, the locking mechanism is an over center locking mechanism that maintains a constant lock force on a tool. The lock force exerted on the tool by the locking mechanism remains substantially constant, even after a motor providing power to the robotic tool changer is removed, and after the robotic tool changer experiences mechanical wear.

Chuck with Locking Device
20190388978 · 2019-12-26 · ·

The chuck with locking device has a ratchet mechanism comprising a toothed ring with engagement teeth fixed to one of an outer casing and a base body. A ratchet pawl is coupled to the toothed ring when a locking control sleeve is in a locking position and the locking pawl is separated from the tooth ring when the locking control sleeve is in a release position. A release elastic element is arranged under compression between the outer casing and a locking ring. The locking ring is fixed inside a locking control sleeve. A cam groove is formed in the locking ring. A pin is inserted in the cam groove and in a hole formed in the base body. The locking control sleeve moves the locking ring between the locking and unlocking positions.

CHANGER DEVICE FOR CLAMPING HEADS
20240082928 · 2024-03-14 ·

A changer device for inserting a clamping head into and/or removing the clamping head from the clamping chuck, wherein the clamping head has a plurality of clamping jaws mutually displaceable in a radial direction and which can be mutually subjected to force by the changer device toward or away from one another in the radial direction.

The changer device has a base and a plurality of adjusting elements which are movably attached to the base and which in each case have at least one engagement portion for the application of force onto the clamping jaws.

The changer device has a drive member which is rotatably movable about a central axis relative to the base. The drive member is coupled by a gear mechanism to the adjusting elements such that by a rotational movement of the drive member the adjusting elements can be jointly moved toward one another or away from one another.

A machine tool includes: a column; a spindle head supported by the column; a spindle in the spindle head; a draw bar moved upward to clamp a tool to the lower end portion of the spindle and moved downward to release the tool therefrom; a biasing portion biasing the draw bar upward; a cam mechanism including a cam in the column and an arm whose one end slides on a cam surface such that the other end pushes down the draw bar; a measurement portion measuring the position of the draw bar; a storage portion storing a position relationship between the spindle head and the draw bar when the cam mechanism is normal; and an abnormality determination portion determining an abnormality in the cam mechanism based on the position of the draw bar measured with the measurement portion and the relationship stored in the storage portion.

Multi-mode drive mechanisms and tools incorporating the same
10328560 · 2019-06-25 ·

The present invention provides a multi-mode drive mechanism. The multi-mode drive mechanism may be employed, for example, in a power tool, for driving a chuck supporting an end effector, such as a drill bit or spiral cut bit, for acting on a work surface. For example, when employed in a power tool, the mechanism can generate rotating, reciprocating, or simultaneous rotating and reciprocating motion. Cutting with simultaneous rotational and reciprocating motion lessens the potential for undesired walking or wandering of the cutting bit by actively removing debris from the cut. Additionally, multi-mode drive mechanisms provide increased functionality in a single tool to accommodate a variety of situations and materials. One aspect of the invention provides a multi-mode drive mechanism including: an input shaft, a reciprocating assembly, an output shaft, a reciprocating block, and a shift collar. The input shaft terminates in an input external spur gear.
