Tool holder and method for producing a tool receiving portion for such a tool holder
A tool holder with a main part, a deformable receiving portion for clamping a tool, and at least one blocking element which is designed to engage into a corresponding counter element on the tool in order to prevent the tool from moving axially out of the tool holder. The at least one blocking element is integrally formed with the receiving portion. A clamping system having such a tool holder and a method for producing a receiving portion for such a tool holder are also described.
HOLE SAW ARBOR ASSEMBLY
A cutting tool includes a hole saw, a pilot bit, and an arbor assembly. The assembly includes a shank having a first end and a second end. The first end of the shank is removably coupled to the hole saw and to the pilot bit, and the second end of the shank is configured to be coupled to a power tool. The assembly also includes a sleeve moveable along the shank and a first ball bearing disposed on the sleeve. The first ball bearing engages the hole saw to releasably secure the hole saw to the shank. The assembly includes a second ball bearing disposed on the shank. The second ball bearing engages the pilot bit to releasably secure the pilot bit to the shank. When the sleeve moves toward the second end of the shank, the first and second ball bearings disengage the hole saw and the pilot bit.
Cubic cutting insert for boring or plunging
Cutting insert with a cuboid body has a substantially square top face and bottom face, said top face and bottom face connected by four peripheral adjoining side surfaces. At least two cutting edges are formed at the transition of the top face to at least two side surfaces, that cutting edges defining a plane of the top face. To provide a cutting insert and a corresponding tool suited to produce valve seat surfaces with high precision but still having a rather simple construction and being precisely mountable with ease and less efforts of adjustment, the plane defined by the top face cutting edges of the cutting insert has maximum dimensions of 7 mm7 mm, where the bottom face has a supporting surface formed exactly parallel to the plane defined by the top face cutting edges by means of grinding within a tolerance of less than 5 angular minutes.
System for adjusting balance and runout of rotary tool, device for determining the balance and runout, method of adjusting the balance and runout, and tool holder
A balance and runout amount adjustment system for a rotary tool includes a rotary tool constituted of a tool holder mounted on a spindle, a balance determining device configured to obtain outer circumference position data of the rotary tool and to determine a mass balance of the rotary tool based on the outer circumference position data obtained, in the course of rotation of the rotary tool and a runout determining device configured to obtain shape data of the rotary tool and to determine a runout amount of the rotary tool based on the shape data obtained, in the course of rotation of the rotary tool. The rotary tool is configured to be capable of adjustment of the mass balance based on the result of the determination made by the balance determining device and capable also of adjustment of the runout amount based on the result of the determination made by the runout determining device.
COLLET CHUCK FOR ROLLING ELEMENT SCREW DRIVE
A collet chuck with a chuck body, a collet, and a clamping nut in which the chuck body has a coupling section for coupling the collet chuck to the working spindle of a machine tool and has a collet holder embodied in the form of an inner cone and at least one thread groove for the screwing-on of the clamping nut; the collet has an outer cone, which is complementary to this inner cone, as well as a cylindrical tool holder; the collet chuck is embodied so that by tightening the clamping nut, the collet can be driven far enough into the collet holder that the tool shaft is held in a rotationally secured fashion; and the clamping nut has at least one thread groove; where rolling elements are inserted between the thread grooves of the chuck body and the clamping nut so that the clamping nut and the chuck body constitute a rolling element screw drive.
CHUCK ASSEMBLY FOR A ROTARY POWER TOOL
A chuck assembly for a rotary power tool includes a chuck body rotatable about a central axis. The chuck body has a plurality of slots, each oriented at an oblique angle relative to the central axis. The chuck assembly also includes a plurality of jaws, each movable along a respective one of the slots. The chuck assembly also includes a collar coupled to the plurality of jaws. The collar is selectively engageable with the chuck body such that, when engaged, the plurality of jaws are movable along the plurality of slots in response to rotation of the collar.
Hole saw arbor assembly
A cutting tool includes a hole saw, a pilot bit, and an arbor assembly. The arbor assembly includes a shank, a body, a first engagement member moveable relative to the shank, the first engagement member engaging the hole saw to releasably secure the hole saw to the shank, and a second engagement member moveable relative to the shank, the second engagement member engaging the pilot bit to releasably secure the pilot bit to the shank. The body is moveable to a first position where the hole saw and the pilot bit are secured to the arbor assembly, to a second position where the first engagement member disengages the hole saw, allowing removal of the hole saw from the shank, and to a third position where the second engagement member disengages the pilot bit, allowing removal of the pilot bit from the shank.
HOLE SAW ARBOR ASSEMBLY
A cutting tool may include a cutting accessory defining an opening and a channel formed on an inner surface of the cutting accessory. A cutting tool may include an arbor assembly including a shank having a first end received in the opening of the cutting accessory and a second end configured to be coupled to a power tool, a body movable relative to the shank, and an engagement member movable with the body relative to the shank, the engagement member configured to selectively engage the channel of the cutting accessory to releasably secure the cutting accessory to the shank.
