MEDICAL QUICK COUPLING SYSTEM FOR ATTACHING A GUIDE SLEEVE WITHOUT TOOLS
20250049531 · 2025-02-13 ·

A medical quick coupling system includes a guide sleeve into which a medical instrument or medical device can be received and aligned or oriented. A quick coupling includes a radially inner carrier sleeve, in which the guide sleeve can be received and aligned or oriented, and a radially outer actuating sleeve that is movable relative to the carrier sleeve, with a receiving position and a fixing position. A coupling mechanism is arranged between the actuating sleeve and carrier sleeve, so that insertion of the guide sleeve into the quick coupling moves the coupling mechanism from a disengaged position to an engaged position. The coupling mechanism thereby disengages the actuating sleeve from the receiving position into the fixing position. Actuation of the actuating sleeve from the fixing position against a pretension force into the receiving position moves the coupling mechanism from the engaged position into the disengaged position.

Hydraulic chuck with a reduction sleeve

A hydraulic expansion chuck for receiving a tool includes a chuck body, an expansion bushing which is received in the chuck body and defines a chuck opening, a pressure chamber which is interposed between the expansion bushing and the chuck body, and a reduction sleeve. The reduction sleeve is received in the chuck opening of the expansion bushing and defines a tool holder receptacle for receiving the tool to be chucked. The reduction sleeve includes a connector element configured to releasably attach the reduction sleeve to the chuck body. The reduction sleeve also may include an adjustment element configured to adjust the axial position of the tool in the tool holder receptacle.

DRILL GUIDE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF

A drill guide includes a shaft, a drill guide assembly securable to the shaft, and a first drill guide insert. The drill guide assembly includes a first drill guide body defining a receiving passage, a locking member, and terminating in a first grasping projection that flexes between open and closed positions. The first drill guide insert installs in the receiving passage and includes a bore, a grasping projection displacement surface, a locking groove, and a key member. The grasping projection displacement surface moves the first grasping projection from its closed position to its open position during installation of the first drill guide insert. Upon installation, the locking groove receives the first grasping projection to lock the first drill guide insert in the first drill guide body, and the key member engages the locking member to prevent rotation of the first drill guide insert within the first drill guide body.

The invention relates to a hydraulic expansion chuck (1) with a hydraulic expansion mechanism (23) that is integrated into a chuck body (10, 20) and exhibits an expansion bushing (23a) with a continuous cylindrical interior wall, and to a reducing bushing (24) arranged in the expansion bushing (23a) for accommodating a shank tool (W), in particular a tap drill. According to the invention, the outer circumference of the reducing bushing (24) is positively connected with the chuck body (10, 20) in a torque-proof manner, and its inner circumference is designed to be positively connected with the shank tool (W) in a torque-proof manner.

Tool alignment system and method

A system and a method include a fixture template configured to be secured to a component. The fixture template includes a plurality of insert holes. A plurality of guide inserts have channels. Each of the channels has an orientation. The orientation of at least two of the plurality of guide inserts differs. Each of the plurality of guide inserts is removably secured within a respective one of the plurality of inserts holes to position and orient the channels in relation to a pattern of openings to be formed in relation to the component. Each of the channels is configured to receive an operative member of a tool that is configured to form the pattern of openings in relation to the component.
