A system can include a zipper that connects a mattress to a bed foundation. For example, the zipper can extend from a head end to a foot end of an adjustable foundation. For another example, a zipper can connect to a mattress along a seam of the mattress and/or to a foundation along a seam of a foundation. For another example, a first zipper can connect the mattress core to a second zipper and the second zipper can connect a foundation to the first zipper. For another example, first and second zippers can be substantially vertically aligned.

The present invention relates to a multiple-pronged fastener. The fastener. such as a tack. has a geometrically-shaped or ornamental head, a plurality of prongs extending from the edges or periphery of the head, and one center prong extending from the center of the rear surface of the head. The multiple prongs secure the fastener in position safely while eliminating rotation of the tack along the central axis when applied to the item. The four prongs are preferably triangular, and the center prong is preferably square.

A seating structure includes a frame, a carrier, and a suspension material. The frame includes first and second side frame members and first and second cross frame members forming a closed loop and defining an opening therebetween. The frame also includes a plurality of first attachment features on an outer perimeter of the frame. The carrier includes first and second side carrier members and first and second cross carrier members that form a closed loop. The carrier also includes a plurality of second attachment features on an inner perimeter of the carrier. The plurality of second attachment features engages the plurality of first attachment features to attach the carrier to the frame. The suspension material is attached to the carrier and extends over the opening in the frame to define a continuous seat and backrest.

A skin locking clip that is firmly supported by a pad is provided. The skin locking clip (10) is disposed in a groove (8) of a pad (5) of a vehicle seat or the like, and fixes a locked portion (6c) attached to a skin material. The skin locking clip (10) includes a base plate (11), a locking piece (12) erected on the base plate (11) to lock the locked portion (6c), and an overhanging piece (13) erected on the base plate. Since the overhanging piece (13) is supported by the pad (5), the skin locking clip (10) is firmly supported by the pad (5).

A lengthwise fastener is fastened to a trim cover along a seam to provide piping exposed along the seam.

An armrest for a chair includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a body extending in a longitudinal direction from a first end to a second end. The body includes one or more recesses. The first member also includes one or more magnets disposed in the one or more recesses. The second member is releasably attached to the first member. The second member includes a cavity configured to receive the first member and one or more magnetizable plate members disposed in the cavity. The one or more magnetizable plate members are adjacent the one or more magnets when the first member is received in the cavity.

An armrest for a chair includes a first member and a second member. The first member includes a body extending in a longitudinal direction from a first end to a second end. The body includes one or more recesses. The first member also includes one or more magnets disposed in the one or more recesses. The second member is releasably attached to the first member. The second member includes a cavity configured to receive the first member and one or more magnetizable plate members disposed in the cavity. The one or more magnetizable plate members are adjacent the one or more magnets when the first member is received in the cavity.

A textile deck assembly, method of fabricating, and method of installing onto a seat frame assembly. The textile deck assembly includes a platform portion and a plurality of straps coupled to a rearward edge of the platform portion. The materials of the textile deck assembly are matched so that the plurality of straps undergoes most or all of the elongation under load (e.g., when a person sits thereon), while the platform portion, even though it is flexible and compliant, is stretch resistant and undergoes little or no stretching under load. A battery of durability tests were performed on the textile deck assembly, including deflection testing, fatigue testing, and drop testing, and compared with conventional seat decks that utilize sinuous springs. The durability of the textile deck assembly to was found to outperform conventional seat decks.

A chair includes a base structure, a seat support structure, a back frame comprising a front surface, a rear surface and a forwardly extending bottom portion pivotably connected to the base, a biasing member biasing the back frame from a reclined position toward an upright position, wherein the biasing member is located entirely forward a rearward most edge of the seat support structure, and a back shell comprising a forwardly extending bottom portion connected to the seat support structure, a front surface, a rear surface positioned in front of the front surface of the back frame, a pair of laterally spaced side portions defining an opening therebetween, and a top portion extending laterally between and connected to the side portions, wherein each of the side portions are exclusively connected to the back frame at a first location.
