Tool Length Adjustment System
Disclosed is a tool length adjustment system which allows the tool length to be adjusted without removing the tool from the tool holder. The tool length can be adjusted through the combination of an external circumferential adjustment ring which can be rotated while the tool is in the tool holder, thereby driving an adjustment key built into the tool holder via the use of drive balls which ultimately cause the rotation of the adjustment key.
CHANGER DEVICE FOR CLAMPING HEADS
A changer device for a clamping head having a base and pivoting elements pivotably articulated on the base and which in each case possess at least one engagement portion for impinging clamping jaws of the clamping head with a force. The changer device has a coupling transmission which per pivoting element possesses at least one coupling tab attached so as to be pivotably movable on the respective pivoting element. The changer device has a handle which for the purpose of simultaneous repositioning of the pivoting elements in relation to the base is movable in a relative manner. The handle is locationally fixed in relation to one of the coupling tabs such that a pivoting movement of the handle directly causes pivoting of the coupling tab and indirectly causes pivoting of the further coupling tab such that a pivoting movement of the pivoting elements and the engagement portions is caused.
CHANGER DEVICE FOR CLAMPING HEADS
A changer device for inserting a clamping head into and/or removing the clamping head from the clamping chuck, wherein the clamping head has a plurality of clamping jaws mutually displaceable in a radial direction and which can be mutually subjected to force by the changer device toward or away from one another in the radial direction.
The changer device has a base and a plurality of adjusting elements which are movably attached to the base and which in each case have at least one engagement portion for the application of force onto the clamping jaws.
The changer device has a drive member which is rotatably movable about a central axis relative to the base. The drive member is coupled by a gear mechanism to the adjusting elements such that by a rotational movement of the drive member the adjusting elements can be jointly moved toward one another or away from one another.
CLAMPING SYSTEM
A clamping device for clamping a tool includes a tool holder with a collet and a clamping nut in and the tool holder has a mechanism for clamping the tool holder and for detecting and displaying a torque applied to the clamping nut.
MODULAR TOOL AND METHOD FOR EJECTING AN INSERT OF A MODULAR TOOL
The invention relates to a modular tool comprising a body and an insert for machining a workpiece, wherein the insert comprises a tenon for insertion into a receptacle of the body, wherein the body comprises an access hole, through which the tenon is accessible for an assembly tool, wherein the tenon comprises a profile portion, which, upon insertion of the assembly tool into the access hole, engages with a lateral surface of the assembly tool so that, by a rotation of the assembly tool, the insert can be ejected from the receptacle. Furthermore, a method for ejecting an insert of such a modular tool is specified.
Cutting tool key, cutting head key assembly and method of attaching cutting head to tool holder
A cutting tool key includes a handle component, for actuating rotation of the cutting tool key and a locking member that is attached to the handle component. The locking member includes a head receptacle portion at a rear end thereof and a sleeve member attached to the locking member. The sleeve member is elastically flexible and circumferentially surrounds the head receptacle portion. A cutting head key assembly includes a cutting head that is located at the head receptacle portion and elastically clamped thereat by the sleeve member. The cutting head key is rotated to releasably attach the cutting head to the tool holder.
CUTTING INSERT, HOLDER, AND CUTTING TOOL
A cutting insert, a holder, and a cutting tool with which the cutting insert can be easily and stably mounted on the holder and a fabrication target object can be excellently fabricated are provided. A cutting tool 100 that is used to fabricate a fabrication target object W by cutting includes a holder 50 and a cutting insert 10 that is mounted on a distal end of the holder 50. The holder 50 includes an insert pocket 53 into which the cutting insert 10 is fitted and a stopper portion 61 that elastically locks the cutting insert 10 to be fitted into the insert pocket 53. The cutting insert 10 includes a cutting portion 11 including a cutting edge 13, a fitting portion 12 that is fitted into the insert pocket 53, and a lock portion 21 that is formed at the fitting portion 12 and is to be locked to the stopper portion 61 of the holder 50.
Locking mechanism for a collet assembly
A locking mechanism includes a biasing ring having a first area having a first radial thickness and a first radially inward facing surface and a second area having a second radial thickness and a second radially inward facing surface. The locking mechanism includes an inner ring having an activation tab extending therefrom and defining a radially outward facing surface. The biasing ring is positioned around the inner ring thereby defining a cavity between the biasing ring and the inner ring. The locking mechanism includes a detent member positioned in the cavity and selectively engageable with at least one of the first radially inward facing surface, the second inwardly facing surface and the radially outward facing surface.
Slip-proof clamping system
The slip-proof system consists of screw connection elements in the form of union nuts having recesses (6, 22) arranged in the lateral surface and of a spanner (11, 25, 30), which is provided with projections (14, 28, 32) engaging into the recesses and is intended for tightening and loosening said screw connection elements.
ROTATABLE CUTTING TOOL AND KEY THEREFOR
A rotatable cutting tool, which extends along a tool axis defining an axial direction, includes a cutting formation in a first axial longitudinal end region, which is configured for material ablation on a workpiece, and includes a screw-connection formation in a second axial longitudinal end region opposing the first, which is configured for screw connection with a coupling unit. The cutting tool includes key-contact surface formations diametrically opposing each other with respect to the tool axis, which are configured for torque-transmitting abutting engagement with key surfaces of a key. Each of the key-contact-surface formations includes at least two key-contact surface regions provided with spacing from each other in the circumferential direction about the tool axis, which key-contact surface regions are inclined away from each other such that they form a vertex projecting away from the tool axis.
