Encasements and Methods of Manufacture
An encasement for protecting a household item from bug intrusion includes a fabric cover having an elongated opening with a first end location and a second end location, the fabric cover being of a size for receiving the household item in the interior of the cover, a zipper configured to seal the opening, a first inside securing member attached inside the fabric cover along a first edge of the elongated opening, the first inside securing member comprising hook or loop fasteners, a second inside securing member attached inside the fabric cover along a second edge of the elongated opening, the second inside securing member including hook or loop fasteners, and an inside patch comprising the other of the hook or loop fasteners, the inside patch configured to be attached to the first inside securing member and the second inside securing member when the zipper is closed.
ANTIMICROBIAL/ANTIVIRAL NONWOVEN AND APPLICATIONS OF THE SAME
Provided are antimicrobial nonwovens comprising antimicrobial chemical treated fibers and untreated binder fibers. 0.0003-0.1 wt. % of one or more silver containing antimicrobial chemicals are used in nonwovens to provide an excellent antimicrobial/antiviral property. Exemplary applications and methods of manufacturing antimicrobial products such as a facial covering, a mattress cover, a surface cover and an air filter are provided.
Air tables for making mattress toppers and related method
A mattress topper for fitting to a mattress may include a lower layer, a side layer configured to extend down along a side of the mattress, and an upper layer overlaying the lower layer and at least partially disposed between the lower layer and the side layer. The mattress topper may also include a seam including threads and extending along peripheral edges of the lower layer and the upper layer and extending through the lower layer, upper layer, and side layer, the lower layer and side layer bearing the threads of the seam. An air table may include a top panel including a plurality of vents extending through the top panel. A method of making a mattress topper with an air table may include lifting the mattress topper with the air table while performing sewing procedures on the mattress topper.
Cover apparatus and methods of assembling same
A first cover segment has top and bottom edge portions that have the same first predefined length. A second cover segment is coupled to the first cover segment to enable the cover apparatus to at least partially enclose a fixture element therein. The second cover segment includes first and second side portions such that top and bottom edge portions for the second cover segment are formed. The first side portion includes a first edge piece and the second side portion includes a second edge piece that is configured to extend at an angle with respect to an endpoint of the first edge piece such that, when the first side portion and the second side portion are coupled together, the bottom edge portion of the second cover segment has a second predefined length that is different than the first predefined length.
Bleach compatible polyolefin mattress cover
A bleach compatible mattress cover made of a non-woven polyolefin material and defining an interior cavity. The interior cavity configured to receive a mattress structure which may include a first and second support structure disposed in the interior cavity. In certain embodiments, the mattress cover has a Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate of greater than or equal 400 to less than 10,000, 7500 or more particularly less than 5000 grams per square meter per day and a hydrostatic head of 100 cm or greater and passes ASTM 1670 and ASTM 1671.
Wireless trolling motor assembly
A trolling motor assembly for use with a watercraft and for wirelessly communicating marine data with a remote electronic device. The assembly includes a trolling motor housing coupled to a second end of a main shaft and having mounted therein a propulsion motor for providing propulsion power to the watercraft and a sonar transducer assembly for generating marine data about an underwater environment relative to the watercraft, and a main housing coupled to a first end of the main shaft and having mounted therein a processor for processing the marine data received from the sonar transducer assembly, and a wireless module for wirelessly transmitting the marine data to the remote electronic device.
Composite mattresses with air chambers
A composite mattress includes a base panel of a cover, a base layer, a pressurizable layer, an intermediate layer, a top layer, and a top panel of the cover. A foundation, or rail, laterally surrounds the pressurizable layer, the intermediate layer, and the top layer. A periphery of the cover laterally surrounds the foundation and, with the top panel and the base panel, encases the other components of the composite mattress. A coiled spring layer may also be included in the composite mattress. The composite mattress may include a separable top and bottom; these elements may be modular, enabling individuals or couples customize a mattress by selecting one or more tops from a plurality of available for use with one or more bases from a plurality of available bases.
Mattress with variable height and hardness and method for adjusting the height and hardness of the same
A mattress having variable height and hardness is disclosed. The mattress comprises a base layer held by a mattress cover using an extendable attachment system. The mattress further comprises one or more top layers made of resilient material which are stacked on top of the base layer. Only friction between the material of the top layers limit the lateral or longitudinal movements of a layer with regard to another layer.
Multilayer protective cover including nonwoven material
Methods of making a protective cover. According to one method, a composite sheet is formed by providing a substrate formed from a nonwoven material having a puncture resistance exceeding 500 N, the substrate having a first surface and a second surface, disposing a first layer of plastic film on the substrate first surface and a second layer of plastic film on the substrate second surface. The composite sheet has a first end, a second end, a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, and an axis extending between the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge. The method also includes folding the composite sheet about the axis to bring the first end of the composite sheet proximate the second end of the composite sheet and define a partially enclosed space having an opening proximate the first and second ends of the composite sheet.
