A system is provided for marketing bedding. The system includes a plurality of air velocity displays each having a body defining a chamber and an opening that is in communication with the chamber, an air flow generator positioned within the chamber, and a sample material that covers the opening such that air flow created by the air flow generator passes through the sample material. The system includes plurality of selection modules. The selection modules each having a user interface that is in communication with one of the air velocity displays such that engaging a feature of one of the user interfaces will cause one of the air flow generators to move from an off position to an on position to create airflow. Methods of use are provided.

Apparatus with weight responsive changeable adjusting characteristics

A reconfigurable apparatus for seating a user and having: a frame; a seat movable relative to the frame between: a) a first position in which the seat resides with no user sitting on the seat; and b) a loaded position; a back rest with a changeable angular orientation relative to the frame; and an adjusting assembly having a plurality of gears that move relative to each other as an incident of the seat moving from the first position into the loaded position to thereby cause an increase in resistance to changing of the angular orientation of the back rest.

Seating device comprising seating parameter detection

An electrically adjustable seating device includes at least one sensor element, a processor, a memory unit and at least one electromechanical actuator. The at least one sensor element is designed to detect predetermined seating parameter data relating to a person sitting on the seating device and to transmit the data to the processor. The processor is designed to determine person parameter data, relating to the person, from the seating parameter data, to extract control data, which are associated with the person parameter data, from the memory unit and to control the at least one electromechanical actuator on the basis of the control data.

Chair Having A Leaf Spring With A Working Length That Shortens To Increase Resistance To Tilting Of A Backrest Relative To A Column
20240000235 · 2024-01-04 ·

A chair, comprising, a backrest, a seat coupled with the backrest, a column coupled with the seat, a linkage statically attached to the backrest and rotatably attached below the seat, a leaf spring statically attached at one end and in direct contact with the linkage to provide a resistance to tilting of the backrest relative to the column, a first structure fixed to the column. A portion of the first structure has an arc shape that includes one or more teeth, and a second structure in contact with the first structure. The chair is configured such that, when a weight is applied to the seat, one or more teeth of the second structure move along the one or more teeth of the first structure to shorten a working length of the leaf spring and provide an increased resistance to tilting of the backrest relative to the column.

BEDDING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING BEDDING DEVICE
20210000263 · 2021-01-07 ·

A bedding device including: at least one adjusting unit able to adjust a height of the device; at least one human measurement module able to measure a three-dimensional surface morphology of a human and/or a quilt covering the human, obtain a three-dimensional point cloud of the human and/or a point cloud of the quilt, establish a three-dimensional model of the human and/or a three-dimensional model of the quilt, recognize each part of the human from the three-dimensional point cloud and/or the three-dimensional model; at least one sleep position determining module able to determine a sleep position of the human based on the spatial position and/or posture of each part of the human; and at least one form adjustment module able to control the at least one adjusting unit to adjust a surface form of the bedding device.

SLEEP POD

METHOD FOR OPERATING SMART MATTRESS SYSTEM ENABLING ALARM CONTROL

The present invention relates to a method of operating a smart mattress system enabling alarm control, wherein a user is allowed to transition to a light sleep state before an alarm time set by the user. Furthermore, an air mattress and an air pillow interlock with a user terminal so that the user can easily control the air mattress and the air pillow.

Surgical robotic system having anthropometry-based user console

Surgical robotic systems including a user console for controlling a robotic arm or a surgical robotic tool are described. The user console includes components designed to automatically adapt to anthropometric characteristics of a user. A processor of the surgical robotic system is configured to receive anthropometric inputs corresponding to the anthropometric characteristics and to generate an initial console configuration of the user console based on the inputs using a machine learning model. Actuators automatically adjust a seat, a display, or one or more pedals of the user console to the initial console configuration. The initial console configuration establishes a comfortable relative position between the user and the console components. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR HEATING OR COOLING A BED BASED ON HUMAN BIOLOGICAL SIGNALS
20200390998 · 2020-12-17 ·

Introduced are methods and systems for an adjustable bed device configured to: gather biological signals associated with multiple users, such as heart rate, respiration rate, or temperature; analyze the gathered human biological signals; and heat or cool a bed based on the analysis.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE FOR OFFICE PRODUCTIVITY STRUCTURE COMMUNICATIONS

A furniture system includes an office productivity structure (OPS). The furniture system also includes a sensor coupled to the OPS, the sensor operable to detect occupancy of the OPS and generate an output signal indicative of the occupancy; and a processor coupled to the sensor. The processor is operable to receive the output signal generated by the sensor, determine, based on the output signal, that the OPS is occupied, and, in response to determining that the OPS is occupied, generate a command to initiate at least one action associated with the OPS or an operator of the OPS.
