Depth limiting device
10814404 · 2020-10-27 ·

A depth limiting device includes an axial braking structure; a limited shrinking structure, the limited shrinking structure surrounding a moving object, and being in a home position or a compressed position; and a structure adapted for pushing the limited shrinking structure to the home position. The axial braking structure axially brakes the moving object such that the moving object moves together with the depth limiting device, and when the moving object enters into a subject, the limited shrinking structure is pressed against the subject, moves from the home position to the compressed position, and stops the moving object from entering further into the subject.

System and method for forming aligned holes in a work piece
10807171 · 2020-10-20 ·

A novel drill jig includes an edge alignment guide, a hole-spacing assembly, a second guide, a biasing member, and an actuator. The edge alignment guide is configured to abut an edge of a workpiece to facilitate movement of the workpiece along a first straight line. The hole-spacing assembly includes a protrusion disposed to engage a preexisting hole in a workpiece positioned by the edge alignment guide. The second guide is coupled to the hole-spacing assembly and is configured to facilitate movement of the hole-spacing assembly along a second straight line perpendicular to the first straight line. The first biasing member is coupled to the hole-spacing assembly and is operative to exert a force on the hole-spacing assembly in a direction parallel to the second straight line. An actuator moves the hole-spacing assembly along the second straight line via the first biasing member.

DEPTH ADJUSTMENT STOPPER FOR DRILL BIT
20200306839 · 2020-10-01 ·

The present invention relates to a depth adjustment stopper for a drill bit. The present invention enables easy workability during forming of a drilled groove having a fixed depth into a material by means of a drill bit. The depth adjustment stopper coupled to the drill bit is supported by means of the tension of a spring. Therefore, the depth adjustment stopper is prevented from shaking or being pushed.

Self-Hammering Cutting Tool

A cutting tool with a plurality of cutting elements connected to a support structure wherein a portion of the support structure is configured to flex or bend based on the rotational frequency of the cutting tool. The rotational frequency of the cutting tool is a product of the design and composition of the tool.

APPARATUS FOR DRIVING A BONE FIXATION PIN

A bone fixation pin is inserted into a bone with an apparatus comprising a housing having a proximal portion and a distal portion, the distal portion having an inner surface and an opening configured to receive the bone fixation pin; a drive shaft having a proximal end configured to engage a handle and a distal end; and a body having an axis and a peripheral edge. The body comprises a bore along the axis, the bore being configured to slidably engage the distal end of the drive shaft; and a plurality of evenly spaced slots in the peripheral edge of the body. A plurality of chuck arms move radially along the evenly spaced slots in the peripheral edge of the body, each chuck arm having an inner surface and an outer surface. The distal end of the drive shaft and the body are within the proximal portion of the housing, the body being biased toward the distal end of the housing; and the inner surface of each chuck arm is configured to engage the bone fixation pin. The outer surface of each chuck arm slidably engages the inner surface of the housing.

DRILLING AID SYSTEM

A drilling aid system which comprises a body with a first cavity, a shaft mounted to be able to rotate within the first cavity, a slider which has a proximal end mounted to be able to move in translation within the first cavity, where the slider has a second cavity which extends the first cavity, a collar that is able to move in translation on the shaft, a first compression spring having a first stiffness and pressing against the collar and against the proximal end of the slider, and a second compression spring having a second stiffness greater than the first stiffness, and pressing against the collar and against the proximal end of the body. A system of this kind makes it possible to make the user perceive that the end of the drilling operation is nigh and that therefore the force applied to the drill should be reduced.

Chuck assembly for a rotary power tool

A chuck assembly includes a chuck body rotatable about an axis, a plurality of jaws each received within a slot of the chuck body for co-rotation with the chuck body about the axis, a wedge engageable with an outer surface of each jaw, a pusher coupled to the plurality of jaws to bias the plurality of jaws in a forward direction into engagement with the wedge, and a tightening sleeve threadably coupled to the chuck body for relative rotation with the chuck body. The tightening sleeve includes a clamping surface engageable with the wedge for inwardly displacing the plurality of jaws in a radial direction, causing the plurality of jaws to secure a tool bit received within the chuck assembly, in response to rotation of the tightening sleeve relative to the chuck body in a tightening direction.

Coupling for connecting an interchangeable tool head to a machine part of a pressing device
10722949 · 2020-07-28 · ·

A coupling is described for connecting an interchangeable tool head to a machine part of a pressing device. The machine part features a receptacle region (A) for accommodating a shaft section of an interchangeable tool head, which can be axially displaced in the receptacle region (A), and the shaft section comprises an end face (S) and at least two engaging elements. The at least two holding elements are arranged in the receptacle region (A) and a guide groove is respectively formed between two adjacent holding elements. Also described are tools such as pressing devices utilizing the couplings and related methods.

Retracting chuck
