Fastening structure, head, and shank
Provided is a fastening structure having a wide application range and a high degree of freedom of design. A fastening structure includes: a head including a first end surface and a first screw part formed on the first end surface; and a shank including a second end surface and a second screw part formed on the second end surface and threadedly engaging with the first screw part. The first end surface includes a first principal surface oriented in an axial direction of the first screw part and a first step surface oriented in a rotational direction of the first screw part. The second end surface includes a second principal surface oriented in an axial direction of the second screw part and a second step surface oriented in a rotational direction of the second screw part. The first and second principal surfaces face each other and the first and second step surfaces face each other when the first screw part threadedly engages with the second screw part.
Variable length tool holder
A tool holder includes a main body defining a mounting end and a receiving end, the mounting end positioned opposite from the receiving end, the main body defining a main body bore extending into the receiving end toward the mounting end; an extension defining a tool head attached to a rod, the tool head defining a tool head end opposite from the rod, a tool holder length defined between the mounting end and the tool head end, the tool head configured to receive at least one cutting tool, the rod received within the main body bore; and a locking mechanism engaging the extension and the main body in a locked position, the locking mechanism being disengaged from either the main body or the extension in an unlocked position, the locking mechanism being selectively positionable about and between the locked position and the unlocked position.
Cutting tool and cutting tool body with a holding member for holding a coupling screw
A cutting tool body is configured for securing a cutting insert with a female thread. The cutting tool body includes a machining end and a tool peripheral surface which extends therefrom. The cutting tool body further includes a through, non-threaded tool coupling bore which opens out to the tool peripheral surface and a coupling screw which has a coupling screw thread. The coupling screw is being located in the tool coupling bore and configured to secure the cutting insert. The cutting tool body further includes a holding member which engages the coupling screw thread at least when the holding member is not in contact with the cutting insert.
COMPOSITE TOOL HOLDERS AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
In one aspect, composite tool holders are described herein comprising advantageous structural arrangements of metal carbide and alloy components. Briefly, a composite tool holder comprises a metal carbide shank comprising a bore having an inner diameter and outer diameter. An alloy sleeve is positioned in the bore for engaging a tool, wherein the alloy sleeve is bonded to inner diameter surfaces of the bore via a crosslinked adhesive.
Cable drill bit
A method of installing cable through material, for example, concrete, wood, masonry, plastic steel, or the like comprising a drill bit with a distal end having a hollow tip with an attachment mechanism for receiving the cable. The drill bit is drilled through the material, and left in place while the cable is attached to the proximal end of the drill bit. There is no need to remove the drill bit from the aperture or material to attach the cable thereto. After attachment to the drill bit, the cable is inserted through the aperture with the drill bit and removed from the drill bit after it passes through the material so it can be attached to a receiver device.
Modular boring head with fine adjustment click mechanism
A modular boring head includes a tubular main body having an internal thread with a first pitch and a pair of axially extending cantilevered members. A movable rod engages the tubular main body such that the movable rod is movable with respect to the tubular main body in an axial direction, D. The movable rod has an internal thread with a second pitch different than the first pitch. A leadscrew is disposed within the tubular main body and has a plurality of gear teeth. Rotation of the leadscrew causes the pair of axially extending cantilevered members of the tubular main body to cooperatively engage with the plurality of gear teeth of the leadscrew in such a manner so as to produce an audible and tactile click, each click being indicative of a distance the movable rod is displaced with respect to the tubular main body.
CONTAINER AND RELATED PRODUCTION METHOD
Container in particular for cosmetic or pharmaceutical products and related production method wherein at least one bar is provided which is made of metal or metal alloy, said bar being turned to obtain a main body having a substantially tubular shape and internally defining a compartment for housing the cosmetic or pharmaceutical product, and a closing body having a substantially tubular shape and having an engagement opening associable with an access opening to the compartment defined in said main body; said container being uniquely made of metal or metal alloy.
TOOL HOLDER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TOOL RECEIVING PORTION FOR SUCH A TOOL HOLDER
A tool holder with a main part, a deformable receiving portion for clamping a tool, and at least one blocking element which is designed to engage into a corresponding counter element on the tool in order to prevent the tool from moving axially out of the tool holder. The at least one blocking element is integrally formed with the receiving portion. A clamping system having such a tool holder and a method for producing a receiving portion for such a tool holder are also described.
