Tool coupling
11938549 · 2024-03-26 · ·

A tool coupling extends along a longitudinal axis and has a first component, a second component, and a clamp for fastening the first component to the second component. The first component has a male clamping portion, the second component has a female clamping portion, and the clamp is located in an inner cavity of the second component. The male clamping portion has a first abutment region located axially rearward of a first plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the inner cavity has a second abutment region located axially forward of the first plane, and the first and second abutment regions face towards the first plane. In a fastened state, a clamp first engagement region of the clamp makes clamping contact with the male clamping portion's first abutment region, and a clamp second engagement region of the clamp makes clamping contact with the inner cavity's second abutment region.

Method for Holding a Spindle of a Mobile Power Tool

A method for holding a spindle of a mobile power tool in order to allow an opening and/or a closing of a tool fitting by turning an operating part of the tool fitting relative to the spindle, where the spindle is rotationally coupled to an electric motor. The method includes detecting a rotation of the spindle and/or of the electric motor in a first direction while a setpoint angular velocity is zero and controlling the electric motor to generate a torque in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction.

METHOD AND APPARATUS OF HOT TAPPING MULTIPLE COAXIAL OR NESTED STRINGS OF UNDERWATER PIPING AND/OR TUBING FOR OVERTURNED WELLS OR PLATFORMS

A method and apparatus for tapping into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle. The assembly includes a tapping tool connectable to the tubular via a saddle connection and an adjustable tapping clamp with adjustable support/locking feet, compression plate with view ports, and angularly adjustable hot tapping system, along with a drill/saw system.

Tool holder and pipe machining tool

A skiving apparatus is provided for at least partial removal of the surface of an least approximately tubular body having a center axis, in particular of a plastic pipe, comprising a clamp assembly having a center axis and at least one clamp member for clamping the skiving apparatus to the tubular body, a skiving assembly comprising a skiving arm unit, a skiving knife arrangement disposed at a first end of the skiving arm unit, and a skiving arm support that connects the clamp assembly to the skiving arm unit. The skiving arm unit is connected by its first and second ends to the skiving knife arrangement and the skiving arm support and is pivotable in the common plane with the center axis of the clamp assembly in such a way that the skiving knife arrangement keeps its orientation relative to the center axis of the clamp assembly in every pivoted position of the skiving arm unit. A clamp assembly as a tool holder for a tool such as a skiving tool is also provided, for machining an approximately tubular body having a center axis, in particular a plastic pipe, having a center axis, a mandrel disposed coaxially with the center axis of the clamp assembly, and at least one clamping device disposed on the mandrel and directed substantially radially outwards.

A rotation tool is mounted to a spindle of a machine tool. The rotation tool comprises a cutter holding portion to which blade portion is fixed and a fixing device which fixes a workpiece. The blade portion is disposed at a tip end of the cutter holding portion. The fixing device includes a movement portion formed to be movable in the interior of the cutter holding portion and a pressing device which presses the movement portion to a side toward the workpiece. The fixing device includes a shaft portion rotatably supported relative to the movement portion and a pressing portion which presses the workpiece.

Compact portable drill press attachment for hand held drills

This accessory, for a hand held drill, turns the drill into a portable drill press. To use this portable drill press, place the drill bit where you want it. Lean the drill forward until the base slides under the metal your drilling. The base is a lever and the drill and bit swings off it. The base holds the drill in place at a angle. When the drill is pulled straight, everything tightens up. The metal and the drill bit are pushed together with leverage. Turn the drill on and drill the hole by just holding the drill straight. This portable drill press is faster and easier to use, than drilling by hand.

SLIDING ADJUSTABLE TOGGLE CLAMP

A tool including a pair of rails is attachable to the inside surface of the skin panel. A housing is pivotally and slidably connected between the pair of rails. The housing is pivotable about a first axis and is slidable along grooves in the pair of rails. The housing has a first end and a second end opposite each other. The tool includes a rod having a third end and a fourth end, the third end attached to and extending from the first end of the housing. The tool also includes a pressure foot attached to the fourth end of the housing. The pressure foot includes a curved ankle integrally formed with a flat flange, the curved ankle curving into the flat flange. The pressure foot is configured to apply pressure along a portion of the inside surface of the skin panel when the housing is in a vertical position.

Methods for processing a confined area of a workpiece

A method for processing a drilling location in a confined area of a workpiece along a drilling axis A using an end effector is disclosed. The method comprises positioning the end effector relative to the drilling location of the workpiece, clamping the workpiece between a clamp of the end effector and a pressure foot of the end effector, wherein the pressure foot supports the clamp movable relative to the pressure foot, and drilling the workpiece with a flat angle drill of the end effector.
