Drill
The drill comprises a base body, which extends in the axial direction along an axis of rotation and rotates about the axis of rotation in a direction of rotation during operation. Into the base body are incorporated flutes and between consecutive flutes is formed a rear surface, which extends, in relation to the direction of rotation, from a leading flute to a trailing flute. On the rear surface in the region of the leading flute, a guide chamfer and a support chamfer spaced apart from it in the direction opposite the direction of rotation are formed, wherein the support chamfer, as radially outermost region, forms a support edge for a merely linear support.
Targeting system for portable drill press
A targeting tool releasably holds a portable drill press on a work piece while drilling a hole in the work piece. The portable drill press includes a tubular column with an open bottom end and a mechanical advantage device. The mechanical advantage device moves a drill up and down along the tubular column. A targeting base includes a base for releasable engagement with the work piece, an upstanding post affixed to the base that is adapted for engagement with the open end of the tubular column, and optionally, a drill guide in the base through which a drill bit passes as the drill moves up and down along the tubular column.
Hole saw guide
A general purpose hole saw guide and a method of forming holes through surfaces, without the need of a centering bit, are provided. The hole saw guide includes a circular disk with concentric grooves on its surface. The disk is transparent and portable for placement on a surface through which a hole is to be drilled to facilitate the centering and stabilizing control of a hole saw on the surface. The method includes the steps of providing a transparent disk having concentric grooves; positioning the disk on a surface; mounting the disk to the surface; inserting a hole saw that is fitted to a drill into the grooves of the disk; drilling a hole through the disk and surface beneath it; and removing the disk from the surface after the hole has been drilled.

ALIGNMENT DEVICE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a pipe fitting alignment device. Particularly, the disclosed device comprises a cup configured to fit over one end of a pipe, a slope level, and a laser unit. The device provides a quick and accurate way to locate marks for drilling multiple holes that slope at a desired angle. As a result, the need to measure, level, and mark individual joists is eliminated. Accordingly, the device reduces the need for line levels, traditional torpedo levels, plumb lines, caulk lines, sight wires, level sticks, etc. and allows one person to pinpoint drilling locations and accurately align components and structures to desired slopes.
Colleted bushing and method of use
A colleted bushing includes a collet and a bushing. The collet has a collet proximal end and a collet bore having collet threads. In addition, the collet has a collet bore taper located adjacent the collet proximal end, and a plurality of collet fingers located adjacent the collet proximal end and configured to be inserted into a workpiece hole of a workpiece. The bushing has a bushing proximal end, a bushing bore, a bushing outer surface, and bushing threads formed along a section of the bushing outer surface. The bushing is configured to be inserted into the collet bore and the bushing threads are configured to engage the collet threads in a manner resulting in movement of the bushing proximal end into contact with the collet bore taper causing the collet fingers to be urged radially outwardly and removably locking the collet within the workpiece hole.
Guide device for a cutting tool
A guide device comprising a hollow body configured to receive a drill bit, the hollow body having a first end; a second end; and a continuous section intermediate the first end and the second end; an opening extending from the first end through the continuous section to the second end; and at least one aperture located on the hollow body intermediate the first and second end of the hollow body.
Adjustable pocket-cutting device
An adjustable pocket-cutting device includes a body, a router, an actuation lever assembly, and a stop lever assembly. The actuation lever assembly includes an actuation lever pivotally mounted on the housing at an actuation lever pivot, a router mount, and pivots from a retracted position to a deployed position. The stop lever assembly adjustably limits the sweep of the router bit into the work clamped to the worktop and includes a stop lever adjustably mounted to the housing, a stop pin extending through a clearance opening in the housing and across a thickness of the actuation lever such that it abuts against an abutment surface of the actuation lever to limit the sweep of the router bit as the router assembly pivots to the deployed position. A method of using the adjustable pocket-cutting device is also disclosed.
Countersinking device and associated method
A countersinking device includes an internal bore positioner adapted for receipt by a bore defined by a workpiece. A driver rod engaged with the internal bore positioner extends outwardly of the bore through a bore opening. A centering chuck, engaged about and axially movable along the driver rod, is configured to engage the bore opening to cooperate with the internal bore positioner to align the driver rod along a longitudinal axis of the bore. A counterbore is engaged about the driver rod, opposite the centering chuck from the internal bore positioner. The counterbore is rotatable about and is configured to be axially advanced along the driver rod to engage the bore opening and countersink the bore. A countersink depth control arrangement is associated with the counterbore and cooperates therewith to countersink the bore to a predetermined depth. An associated method is also provided.
OUT OF CENTER COOLING BORE DRILLING FOR GAS TURBINE ROTOR
A cooling bore guide for reaming an enlarged portion into a cooling bore of a rotor. The cooling bore guide may include a cutter guide for insertion into the cooling bore and a guide lock for insertion into an adjacent cooling bore.
