Counterbalance system for upper horizontal surface drilling operations
A counterbalance system employs one or more springs to support a large motor drill on an upper horizontal work surface, for example on the tops of drill jigs or bushings. The counterbalance system supports the drill above the work surface where the counterbalance system can slide across the work surface to selectively position the drill over a drill bushing through which a drilling operation is to be performed. A user of the drill supported on the counterbalance system can then push downwardly on the drill to compress the spring and perform a drilling operation. On removal of the downward directed force exerted by the user of the drill, the spring pushes the drill upwardly to disengage the drill from the work surface. The user of the counterbalance system can then slide the counterbalance system and the drill across the top of the work surface.
Height adjusting swivel drill block
A drill block and a method for drilling a hole through a workpiece using the drill block. The drill block may include a mounting leg for mounting the drill block, a drilling support leg having a round hole therethrough operable to receive a drill bit during a drilling operation, and a height variability leg interposed between the mounting leg and the drilling support leg, wherein the height variability leg is adjustable to select a vertical height of the drilling support leg relative to the mounting leg.
REAR-MOUNTED DEEP HOLE MACHINING ON-LINE DETECTION AND DEVIATING CORRECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of deep hole machining, particularly to a rear-mounted deep hole machining on-line detection and deviating correction device, which provide solution to the difficulty in observing the machining site and correcting the cutter deviation in deep hole machining. The device comprises a cutter bar provided with a plurality of iron blocks mounted uniformly in a circumferential direction, wherein each of the iron blocks is provided with a heating device in the interior thereof and a wear-resistant block mounted on the top thereof, wherein mounted on an end face of the other end of the cutter bar is a pyramid prism, wherein a laser transmitter and a photosensitive sensor are mounted in a height corresponding to the height range of the pyramid prism, wherein the incident beam emitted by the laser transmitter is oriented by a laser orientating block. The advantages of the disclosure lie in that the information of the position the deep hole cutter during deep hole machining process and whether the deep hole is skewed or not can be obtained in time, thereby facilitating a solution to the difficulty in detecting the workpiece deep hole straightness and on-line deviating correction, improving the position accuracy such as straightness of the deep hole and reducing the rejection rate of the workpiece.

Head unit, stop holder and method for stabilizing a drilling machine
A head unit for a stop holder for a drilling machine for purposes of compensating for a height displacement between two adjacent components during the introduction and/or machining of a component hole. The stop holder has a front rest section for purposes of resting on the components. The rest section has an axial projection, which forms a second contact surface displaced relative to a first contact surface in the axial direction, i.e., the tool longitudinal direction. Also disclosed is a stop holder, and a method for compensating for a height displacement between two adjacent components during the introduction and/or machining of a component hole.
Anchoring System & Method of Use
An anchoring system is disclosed, having an anchor where one end is plurality of prongs configured to expand and retain a substrate when engaged by a threaded rod pin and the other end is a partially threaded opening configured to engage the threaded rod pin. The threaded rod pin has a section of exterior threading that will engage with both the coupler and the anchor. A drill depth measuring guide having a hollow threaded holder to accept a dill bit. The holder has a setscrew to secure it to the drill bit and an exterior threaded cylinder to matingly engage a locking nut and a collar that can be threaded onto the holder at various locations to allow for different drill depths.
SELF-ADJUSTING CHAMFERING TOOL
A self-adjusting tool for chamfering an end of a cylinder includes a plurality of legs. A distal segment of each of the legs extends in a forward direction of the tool and is placeable about the end of the cylinder. A central body has a rotatable shaft and a mechanism that is operable by rotation of the shaft about a shaft axis. The mechanism is operable to retract the legs inward in tandem toward the cylinder and to rotate the legs about the shaft axis when further retraction of the legs is blocked by contact with the cylinder. One or a plurality of chamfering blades are each attached to one of the legs. A cutting edge of each blade is oriented diagonally forward and inward.
