SUCTIONING COVER FOR A CORE DRILL BIT HAVING A PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE, AND USE OF THE SUCTIONING COVER
20250108467 · 2025-04-03 ·

A suctioning cover for a core drill bit of a core drilling device is attachable to a rear side of the core drill bit in order that material for suctioning can be suctioned out of an interior of the core drill bit. The suctioning cover has a valve for setting a pressure in the interior of the core drill bit. The pressure regulating valve allows automatic setting of the pressure in the interior of the core drill bit, such that work can be performed using the core drill bit in an optimum pressure range. Material for suctioning can thus be suctioned out of the interior of the core drill bit particularly effectively. The suctioning cover can be used in particular when performing dry drilling using the core drill bit. A method of operating the suctioning cover, wherein the valve for setting the pressure can be used to set a pressure in the interior of the core drill bit or in a cavity of the suctioning cover.

Hammer drills and similar devices have an ongoing dust and debris problem that is solved by a protector device covering the drill in a main body protector shielding a user from the materials. The protector device has an evacuation region on its underside with multi dimensional adapters for attaching hoses of varying sizes. Additionally, an insertable collapsible accordion cylinder assists in covering the debris falling from different size drills being used. A second embodiment has a circular saw dust protector attachment arranged as two half moons or moon and moon having a central cylinder at their respective tops that are to be held together with a mechanical latch.

A drilling end effector may include a motor operative to drive a drilling member, a housing surrounding the motor, and a vacuum shroud coupled to the housing and surrounding the drilling member, wherein the vacuum shroud has a variable length.

Dust collector with filter cleaning mechanism

A dust collector for use with a power tool comprises a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, a suction fan positioned in the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe, a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the fan, a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container, and a filter cleaning mechanism. The filter cleaning mechanism includes an anvil, a striker moveable between a first striker position, in which the striker is spaced from the anvil, and a second striker position, in which the striker is in contact with the anvil. The filter cleaning mechanism further includes an actuator moveable between a first actuator position and a second actuator position, in which the actuator is moved closer to the anvil than in the first position, and a first spring biasing the striker toward the anvil.

Dust collector including filter cleaning mechanism

A dust collector for use with a hand-held power tool. The dust collector includes a housing, a motor positioned in the housing, and a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing. The dust collector also includes a suction fan coupled to the motor and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe. The dust collector further includes a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the suction fan, and a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container. The dust collector also includes a filter cleaning mechanism including a solenoid configured to be actuated by a controller to dislodge dust from the filter when either the motor or the suction fan transitions from an active state to an inactive state.

Debris collection assembly

A debris collection assembly includes a jig and an adapter insert. The jig includes a front wall and a back wall opposite the front wall. The front wall defines an aperture therethrough. The back wall defines an adapter opening that aligns with the aperture. The jig includes a vacuum port and defines an interior cavity that fluidly connects the aperture, the adapter opening, and the vacuum port. The adapter insert is removably loaded through the adapter opening into the interior cavity of the jig. The adapter insert defines an orifice sized to receive a drill bit and allow the drill bit to extend through the aperture in the front wall to drill into a work piece. Negative pressure at the vacuum port draws airflow through the interior cavity and captures debris generated from drilling.

A pocket hole jig that provides a vacuum attachment for waste debris removal is provided. A pocket hole jig that allows for adjustably positioning a clamp assembly is provided. Methods of operating pocket hole jigs are provided as well.

Self-adjusting pocket hole jig system

A self-adjusting pocket hole jig system is presented having a base, an upright assembly operably connected to the base, a clamping assembly, operably connected to the upright assembly, a handle operably connected to the clamping assembly, and a drill guide assembly operably connected to the clamping assembly. The drill guide assembly is configured and arranged to move along the upright assembly between an unclamped position and a clamped position in response to movement of the handle. Movement of the handle simultaneously adjusts the height of the drill guide assembly as well as facilitates clamping of the drill guide assembly for workpieces of various thicknesses.
