MONITORING AND CONTROL OF A MILLING OPERATION
A milling device for milling an antenna structure out of the metal layer of a flexible product, while the product is being passed through a milling gap between a milling cutter and a die, using a light emitter to output a light strip that crosses through the milling gap in or transversely to a running direction of the product, wherein the light strip is dimensioned, and the milling cutter and the die are intended to be arranged, such that the milling cutter and the die shadow the light strip at the two longitudinal edges thereof, before a light receiver receives the light strip, and using the light receiver to output a signal that reproduces the width of the milling gap to a controller, and outputting an adjusting signal at least to an adjusting drive that influences the width of the milling gap between the milling cutter and the die.
MILLING TOOL AND WORKPIECE MACHINING METHOD
A milling tool is configured from a shank part and a head with a cutting edge that is provided on the leading end of the shank part. The head comprises an expanding diameter section, the diameter of which expands gradually from the base end that contacts the shank part in the direction of the leading end, and a decreasing diameter section, the diameter of which gradually decreases from the maximum diameter section in the direction of the leading end. At least one cutting edge is provided on each of the expanding diameter section and the decreasing diameter section.
Precision gun Smith platform
A jig for finishing a workpiece with a handheld router or other handheld motor-driven rotational tool assembly is provided. The jig includes a baseplate that is precisely aligned and attached to a router. Guides, including a main guide and a support guide, are provided. The main guide is configured to precisely align with and fasten to the base plate in several different jig configurations. Right-angle adaptors attach to the guides and precisely align with and attach to the guides and the base plate to form several different jig configurations. Side plates secure the workpiece therebetween and provide a surface along which the main guide may slide to facilitate finishing operations on the workpiece.
