METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PROBES
A method for manufacturing probes includes forming a recessed portion on a plate such that the plate has a first subsidiary plate, a second subsidiary plate and a third subsidiary plate mutually connected. The first subsidiary plate has a first thickness. The second subsidiary plate corresponds to the recessed portion and has a second thickness. The first thickness is larger than the second thickness. The second subsidiary plate is located between the first subsidiary plate and the third subsidiary plate. The third subsidiary plate has a third thickness. The third thickness is larger than the second thickness. Subsequently, the plate is held and cut by laser to form a plurality of probes. Each of the probes includes a probe tail formed from the first subsidiary plate, a probe body formed from the second subsidiary plate and a probe tip formed form the third subsidiary plate.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR MACHINING A CHILLED WORKPIECE
Machining apparatus for machining a chilled workpiece include a support surface that supports the chilled workpiece during machining by a machining tool of the machining apparatus, and further include a cooling system operatively coupled to the support surface. The cooling system prevents a machining temperature of an adhesive coupled to the chilled workpiece from rising beyond a predetermined threshold temperature during machining of the chilled workpiece, such that the cooling system prevents curing of the adhesive during machining of the chilled workpiece. The cooling system includes a cooling fluid that radiantly cools the chilled workpiece via the support surface while the chilled workpiece is supported by the support surface, such that the cooling system maintains the machining temperature of the adhesive (and of the chilled workpiece) below an ambient temperature. Related methods include machining the chilled workpiece using such machining apparatus.

PROCESSING DEVICE AND PROCESSING METHOD
This processing device is provided with: a tool for machining a workpiece W along the thickness direction thereof, the width-direction external shape of the workpiece W being substantially finished; and a flexible vice 7 that clamps the workpiece W in the width direction without clamping the workpiece W in the thickness direction. The flexible vice 7 is provided with a position adjustment mechanism that prevents the position of the workpiece W from changing in a plane along the width direction before and after the workpiece W is clamped. The present invention is provided with a rough processing tool for performing processing at a rough-processing position, a finishing processing tool for performing processing at a finishing-processing position, and a control unit that causes the position adjustment mechanism to move between the processing performed by the rough processing tool and the processing performed by the finishing processing tool.
METHODS OF MILLING A PIECE OF RAW STEEL STOCK INTO A MACHINE-READY PIECE OF STEEL
A method of milling a piece of raw steel stock comprising: arranging a minimum of four solid pole extensions on top surface segments of a magnetic chuck such that the solid pole extensions are relatively evenly distributed under a piece of raw steel stock and within 2 inches of a perimeter of the piece of raw steel stock; arranging multiple mobile pole extensions beneath the piece of raw steel stock and on every other top surface segment of the magnetic chuck under the piece of raw steel stock that is not occupied by the solid pole extensions but beneath the piece of raw steel stock, each of the multiple mobile pole extensions having a biased top portion that contacts the piece of raw steel stock; and milling the piece of raw steel stock with a face mill that generates steel chip as swarf.

MACHINE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE FOR EIFS PANELS
A levelling machine includes a pair of spaced apart rail assemblies, a gantry assembly and a face mill assembly. The spaced apart rail assemblies define an x axis. The gantry assembly is moveably attached to the pair of spaced apart rail assemblies whereby the gantry assembly defines a y axis. The gantry assembly is moveable in the x axis along the pair of spaced apart rail assemblies. The face mill assembly is moveably attached to the gantry assembly and is moveable in the y axis along the gantry assembly. The face mill assembly has a plurality of saw blades, the saw blades being generally in an x-y plane defined by the x axis and y axis. The saw blades have a plurality of teeth that extend downwardly generally in a z axis. The face mill assembly is moveable in the z axis.
MOLD MACHINING METHOD USING END MILL
A mold machining method using an endmill, the contour of a cross section of the mold being concave and continuous in an area, a ratio of the maximum to the minimum of radius of curvature of the contour of a portion of the area (a first area) being 2 or greater, and a blade of the endmill having a second area where the contour of a cross section is similar to the contour of the first area, the method comprising the steps of: determining a spiral path of the endmill such that each point of the first area is machined by a portion of the second area, corresponding to said each point in the similarity, and a radial interval between the spiral tool path is maximized while keeping surface roughness of the machined mold at or below a predetermined value; and machining the mold along the path.
