A milling disc is formed as a generally circular disc having a center axis and including an outer peripheral surface provided with a number of cutting edges, a first side having a bearing surface around the center axis, and attachment means arranged to interact with mating attachment means of a rotatable mounting shaft to allow rotary preventing attachment of the milling disc to the rotatable shaft and forcing of the bearing surface towards a mounting surface at an end surface of the shaft. The milling disc is provided with at least one flushing fluid channel having a confined cross-section and extending within the milling disc from an inlet opening in its bearing surface to at least one outlet opening in its peripheral surface. There is also provided a rotatable mounting shaft for the rotatable attachment of such a milling disc.

REPLACEABLE CUTTING HEAD HAVING THREADED MOUNTING PORTION WITH TWO SPACED APART CONICAL ABUTMENT SURFACES PROVIDED WITH THE SAME CONE ANGLE, TOOL HOLDER AND ROTARY CUTTING TOOL

A replaceable cutting head includes a forward cutting portion and a rearward mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a male coupling member that protrudes rearwardly from a head base surface. The male coupling member includes forward and rearward bearing portions and an external thread located therebetween. The forward and rearward bearing portions include respective conically shaped forward and rearward head abutment surface. The forward and rearward head abutment surfaces have the same cone angle. When a cutting tool, including said cutting head and a tool holder having a female coupling member, is in a locked position, the external thread is threadingly engaged in the female coupling member and the forward and rearward head abutment surfaces conically abut corresponding conical shaped surfaces in the female coupling member.

Tool holder and attachment head having said tool holder

There is shown a tool holder for a hob, which is embodied as a bore having a clamping device provided between a spindle and a counterholder, the clamping device having a centring clamping piece that is engageable in the hob and a receiving mandrel that is engageable in the hob, the receiving mandrel being braced with the centring clamping piece in order to mount the hob, wherein the centring clamping piece has a flange. In order to ensure the best concentric running properties in a stable manner, it is proposed that the centring clamping piece and the receiving mandrel each have a flange, which each mount a radial adjusting drive with at least one adjusting member that is adjustable with respect to the spindle and/or the counterholder in order to center the clamping device.

A tool chuck for clamping tools incudes a sleeve section with an open free end adjoining a tool chuck main body towards the free end. The sleeve section forms a tool receptacle for fixedly receiving the tool shank in a friction-fitting manner with an interference fit. The sleeve section is formed of inner and outer sleeves. The outer sleeve, in an operationally ready state, receives the inner sleeve and is joined thereto without clearance. There is an expansion gap between the tool chuck main body, the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve, or at least one first intermediate sleeve is disposed between the inner and outer sleeves, or a functional face of at least one of the structural parts joined to one another at the sleeve section is thermochemically heat-treated and/or coated. A method of using a tool chuck and a chuck system are also provided.

Electrospindle with integrated feed with automatic tool holder change

A machining spindle that includes a tool-holder shaft (2), a first actuator connected to a coupling member (11) slidably connected to a first section (21) of the shaft to rotate the shaft, a second actuator connected to a nut helically connected to a second section (22) of the shaft to move the shaft axially and a control rod (24) of a tool-holder attachment system connected to the second section by a full connection. The spindle includes a locking arrangement (40) mounted movable between the first and second sections by a switchover arrangement (50), between a first position in which the first and second sections are in full connection and a second position allowing axial movement of the second section relative to the first section, enabling the control rod to be moved axially under the action of the second actuator to control the attachment system in a released position of the tool holder.

Utilities supplied through a first utility path of a turning tool holder via a docking device is supplied to a second utility path of an adjacent rotating tool holder through a communication means, there is no need to provide a complex hydraulic line, a pneumatic line and a coupler for receiving the utilities from the docking device at a rearward side of the rotating tool holder. A rearward size of the rotating tool holder may be minimized, so that even when the rotating tool holder is mounted on the turret, no interference occurs with the docking device in the rearward direction when the turret rotates. As a result, it is possible to use the rotating tool holder, to which utilities supply is necessary, even in the turret which is provide with the docking device.
