Firmly assembled cutter holding assembly
A cutter holding assembly has a holder, a cutter, and a tightening positioning assembly. The holder has a first positioning recess. The cutter is connected to the holder and has a second positioning recess. The tightening positioning assembly has a positioning block, two tightening elements, and an adjusting element. The positioning block is mounted in the first positioning recess of the holder and the second positioning recess of the cutter. The tightening elements are mounted in two opposite sides of the positioning block. The adjusting element is mounted in the positioning block at a position between the two tightening elements. The adjusting element has a conical abutting surface for pushing the tightening elements to move opposite to each other to abut the opposite side surfaces of one of the first and the second positioning recesses while axially moving. The cutter can be firmly connected to the holder.
REPLACEABLE CUTTING HEAD HAVING EXTERNAL THREAD WITH CONCAVELY CURVED ROOT AND ROTARY CUTTING TOOL
A rotary cutting tool includes a replaceable cutting head and a tool holder. The replaceable cutting head includes a forward cutting portion and a rearward mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a male coupling member that includes an external thread defined by external inner and outer cylinders. The external thread has concavely curved external thread roots which each merge with a respective straight external loaded surface at a first external root point. The first external root point is spaced apart from the external inner cylinder by a first external radial distance. The first external radial distance is greater than a third and less than two thirds of the external thread height. The tool holder includes a female coupling member that includes an internal thread. When the rotary cutting tool is in a locked position, the external thread is threadingly engaged with the internal thread.
REPLACEABLE CUTTING HEAD HAVING BACK-TAPERED CONICAL EXTERNAL THREAD AND ROTARY CUTTING TOOL
A rotary cutting tool includes a replaceable cutting head and a tool holder. The replaceable cutting head includes a forward cutting portion and a rearward mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a male coupling member that includes a back-tapered conical external thread. The tool holder includes a female coupling member that includes an internal thread. When the rotary cutting tool is in a locked position, the external thread is threadingly engaged with the internal thread.
Cutting tool
This disclosure relates to a cutting tool, having a main body, a cutting head, which is joined to the free end of the main body and is formed, by primary shaping, as a sintered piece provided with at least one cutting edge, and a cooling lubricant feed, which is led through the main body axially and which has a cooling lubricant distributor inserted into the cutting head for redirecting cooling lubricant into the region of the at least one cutting edge. According to this disclosure, a plurality of protruding spacers for keeping a gap clear with respect to the cooling lubricant distributor and/or the main body are sintered on a supporting surface of the cutting head as primary shaped elements.
Device for exchanging part of tool and hollow milling tool
A device (1) for exchanging at least one cutting component (2a) of a rotating tool (2), in particular a milling tool (2), and more particularly, a hollow milling tool for machining workpieces made of plastic. The device has an aligning device (5) for orientating a position of the cutting component (2a) relative to a rotational axis (2c) of the tool (2) and an exchanging device (6) for releasing the cutting component (2a) from a part (2b) that remains on the tool (2) and for attaching another cutting component (2a) to the part (2b) that remains on the tool (2).
CUTTING ASSEMBLY WITH MULTIPLE CUTTING TOOLS FOR MILLING
A cutting assembly for milling includes at least two milling cutting tools with shanks that are arranged in a rotatable tool holder at a distance from the central axis of the tool holder, such that an operational region of a cutting portion of each cutting tool is primarily facing outwards, in a radial direction, from the tool holder central axis.
Endmill body and radius end mill
In an end mill body made of ceramic, a corner R rake face is formed in such a manner as to contain a point B and at least a region B, not a region A located on a side toward an end cutting edge. In other words, a first end portion of a cutting edge on a peripheral edge portion of the corner R rake face is formed on a peripheral edge of the region B of a corner R cutting edge, and a second end portion of the cutting edge reaches at least the point B. As a result, partial breakage of the corner R cutting edge is unlikely to occur in the course of cutting. That is, since the corner R rake face is formed in such a manner as to start from the first end portion located apart from a point A, which is the intersection of the end cutting edge and the corner R cutting edge, and such that the second end portion reaches the point B, a large cutting load is unlikely to be imposed on the starting point of the corner R rake face. Therefore, the corner R cutting edge is unlikely to be chipped.
Slotting tool body having inwardly offset insert receiving slot, rotary slot cutting tool having same and cutting insert
A slotting tool body includes a disc-like cutter portion and a shank portion projecting rearwardly therefrom. The cutter portion includes a resilient clamping portion having a peripherally disposed insert receiving slot. The shank portion includes a peripherally disposed forward shank recess that is axially adjacent the cutter portion. A radially inward portion of the insert receiving slot merges in the rearward direction with the forward shank recess. A cutting insert is releasably and resiliently clamped in the insert receiving slot to form a rotary slot cutting tool. The cutting insert includes two cutting portions that each include a long and short insert lateral extension, the long insert lateral extension being longer than the short insert lateral extension. The longest insert lateral extensions are orated on opposite sides of the cutting insert.
T-SHAPED TOOL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING T-SHAPED TOOL
A T-shaped tool is configured by fastening a head having cutting blades to a cylindrical shank, the shank is made of cemented carbide and has a tapered male thread formed at a tip end portion thereof, the tapered male thread becomes smaller in diameter toward the tip end, and the head is made of steel and has a tapered female thread formed therein, and the tapered female thread comes into engagement with the tapered male thread.
TOOL HEAD, CUTTING TOOL AND METHOD OF FIXING A TOOL HEAD TO AN ADAPTER
Tool head of a cutting tool for use with an adapter having a central pin, comprising a receiving hole extending along a longitudinal axis of the tool head and being adapted to receive the central pin of the adapter when the tool head is fixed to the adapter. At an inner surface of the receiving hole at least one radially protruding contact area for contacting the central pin is provided.
