A milling tool comprising a cylindrical shaft part, which has a central axis and which is followed by a cylindrical cutting part comprising at least three circumferential cutting edges, which run helically and which are separated from one another by chip grooves. The circumferential cutting edges continue via cutting edge corner regions in end cutting edges, which run essentially radially and which subsequently slope away from the milling cutter face towards the central axis from radially outer end cutting edge sections, in each case with a cutting edge section, which is formed by ground-in end pockets. The cutting edge section slopes continuously all the way to the central axis. In the region of the milling cutter core, it is formed by a point thinning, which is introduced into the end pocket and by means of which a center cutting edge is created. Also, a method for producing the milling tool.

Helical Milling Tool with Forward-Backward Feeding

Disclosed is a helical milling tool with forward-backward feeding, the tool including a cutting portion, a neck portion and a handle portion, which are successively connected to each other; wherein the cutting portion includes a front-end cutting section, a circumferential cutting section and a back-end cutting section, which are connected successively to each other; the front-end cutting section is of an end milling cutter structure or a drill bit structure; the circumferential cutting section is of a cylindrical shape and is of a circumferential milling cutter structure; and the back-end cutting section is of a frustum-shaped. The tool can avoid defects such as layering and tearing, which go beyond processing requirements in a composite material, improve the processing quality, save on costs, simplify the processing process, improve the production efficiency and prolong the service life of the tool.

The cutting portion includes two or more key actuating portions which assist in mounting the milling head onto the shank. The cutting portion includes a plurality of helical chip flutes alternating with cutting edges. At least one or more of the cutting edges and flutes extend axially rearward of at least a portion of the key actuating portions.

Milling tool and production method for a milling tool

A milling tool having an operating area that is rotatable about an operating axis of rotation for milling a workpiece. The operating area has at least one milling edge extending transversely to the circumferential direction (U) of an operating axis of rotation. At least one of the at least one milling edge includes at least one milling edge portion in which a milling edge profile (P), which is defined by the radial distance (F) between the milling edge and the operating axis of rotation along the milling edge, has a non linear progression. The milling edge in the milling edge portion has a chip space, which extends radially inward toward the operating axis of rotation in relation to the milling edge. The chip space has a chip space base that follows the milling edge profile (P) at least in portions in the milling edge portion with the non-linear milling edge profile (P).

Rotary tool for lower receiver manufacturing

A rotary tool can be adapted for removing material from a workpiece such as a lower receiver. A rotary tool can have an adapter with a major diameter, and a cutter head with a minor diameter. The major diameter of the adapter can reduce deflection and chatter, while the minor diameter of the cutter head can be used to manufacture lower receivers with accuracy. The rotary tool can be adapted to be engaged with a rotary power tool.

Rotary cutting tool

A rotary cutting tool according to the present disclosure is rotatable about an axial line and includes a rake face and a flank face. The flank face is contiguous to the rake face. A ridgeline between the rake face and the flank face constitutes a cutting edge. In a cross section perpendicular to the axial line, the rake face is constituted of a plurality of straight line portions.
