Radius end mill and cutting work method

Radius mill and cutting work method that includes a plurality of end cutting edges arrayed around a central axis O and a plurality of arc-shaped radius end cutting edges continuous with the end cutting edges on an outer peripheral side in a radial direction. The end cutting edge is divided into an inner peripheral side end cutting edge and an outer peripheral side end cutting edge in a radial direction. Second surfaces of the plurality of inner peripheral side end cutting edges are coupled at a part close to the axis O. A region of coupled second surfaces is continuous from a region including the axis O to outer peripheral sides of respective inner peripheral side end cutting edges in a radial direction in a strip shape. A width of the strip-shaped region gradually enlarges from axis O side to an outer peripheral side in a radial direction.

The short flank face includes a second flank face that is adjacent to the short cutting edge rearward of a rotation axis in a rotation direction and is flat and a third flank face that is adjacent to the second flank face rearward of the rotation axis in the rotation direction and is flat. In front view of the body from the front end, a maximum value of a width of the second flank face in the direction orthogonal to the short cutting edge is smaller than a maximum value of a width of the long flank face in the direction orthogonal to the long cutting edge, and a clearance angle of the second flank face is smaller than a clearance angle of the long flank face.

Milling machine fly-cutter with adjustable cutting-tool geometric angle and milling machine

A milling machine fly-cutter with adjustable cutting-tool geometric angle and milling machine includes a fly-cutter plate body, a plurality of combination grooves are evenly set in the circumferential direction of the fly-cutter plate body, and adjusting assemblies are mounted in the combination grooves. Wherein, the adjusting assemblies include an adjusting block for rake angle and relief angle, an adjusting block for tool cutting edge angle and minor cutting edge angle, an adjusting block for tool cutting edge inclination angle. A first side of the adjusting block is attached with a cutter handle, and a second side is connected with the adjusting block for rake angle and relief angle by the adjusting block for tool cutting edge angle and minor cutting edge angle. The milling machine fly-cutter realizes adjustment of the geometric angles of cutting tool, and is able to adapt to cutter handles of a variety of different specifications.

ROUTER BIT

A router bit for use with a turning implement comprising a router bit body having a shank body adjacent a cutting body for forming a key hole in a work piece. The shank body has an outer surface configured to be received by the turning implement. The cutting body has a body portion that spans between a tapered head portion and a tapered end portion, the tapered end portion attached to the shank body. The tapered head portion has a plunge cutting surface that forms a first acute angle with the longitudinal axis. The shank body has a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the tapered head portion. The tapered end portion has a diameter that varies along its length from the shank body to the tapered head portion to reduce breakage of the router bit body during use. A wing may be attached to the cutting body.

A cutting head for a mill configured to rotate about an axis to remove material from a work piece includes a base surface, a side region connected to the base surface, and a top region connected to the side region. The top region defines a central area and a periphery. A plurality of top teeth are disposed on the top region. The top teeth have cutting edges configured to contact the work piece to remove material. Each cutting edge extends from the central area towards the periphery and includes an axially extending peak portion.

Milling cutter for cutting a ninety-degree shoulder in a workpiece

A milling cutter includes a shank portion and a cutting portion having a cylindrical outer surface. The milling cutter includes a plurality of major cutting edges extending from an end face toward the shank portion, and a plurality of minor cutting edges disposed at the end face of the cutting portion. A relief surface is formed in the cylindrical outer surface proximate a corner of the milling cutter such that the primary cutting edges forms an angle equal to 90 with respect to the end face of the milling cutter. As a result, the milling cutter is capable of cutting a perfect 90 shoulder in a workpiece.

BALL END MILL

A ball end mill includes an end mill body; a chip discharge groove, a first gash, and a bottom cutting edge.
