The infant sleep pod provides a firm, flat, separate, portable, and dedicated sleep space for an infant. The infant sleep pod includes a base with a bed and sidewall, and a bridge extending across the bed. The bridge covers a head portion of the bed, while a foot portion of the bed is left open for inserting and removing the infant. The bridge prevents pillows and blankets from covering the bed and infant. The infant sleep pod also includes electronics for monitoring the sleep pod. The electronics include a sensor unit in the bridge and a control unit in communication with the sensor unit. The control unit and sensor unit are operable to detect unsafe conditions and, in response, generate alerts.

Child containment system with multiple infant support modes

A child containment system has a child containment structure with a bottom and a perimeter wall surrounding the bottom. A bassinet has an infant support surface and a surrounding wall around the infant support surface. The bassinet can be mounted to the child containment structure with the infant support surface elevated above the bottom of the child containment structure. An infant support unit can have a frame, a bed supported by the frame, and legs that extend from one end of the infant support unit to the distal second end. The infant support unit is configured for use in a first operational mode in which the infant support unit at least partially positioned within the child containment structure with the bed overlying the bassinet's infant support surface, and with a portion of the legs contacting the bassinet's infant support surface.

MOUNTING BASE, CONNECTING BASE, AND CHILD CONTAINMENT DEVICE

The present application provides a mounting base, a connecting base, and a child containment device. The mounting base is adapted to be mounted on a child containment body. The mounting base includes at least two first connecting parts, and each of the at least two first connecting parts is adapted to be connected to a second connecting part of a connecting base of a carrier accessory, so that the mounting base is capable of connecting to at least two carrier accessories simultaneously.

A foldable frame comprises opposing pairs of side and end frame members joined at respective ends to define a generally rectangular and planar frame perimeter. The end members and the side members are generally movable between folded and unfolded positions. The end members are spaced-apart along a longitudinal axis of the frame. The side frame members extend generally parallel to the longitudinal axis to define a frame length. Pivoting connections enable the end members and the side frame members to pivot, each member having a pivot connection at each end thereof. Pivoting of a respective end or side member is permitted when the frame is configured to align the respective end pivots, but is inhibited when the frame is configured to move the respective end pivots out of alignment. The respective pivot axes of the end and side members are generally perpendicular oriented and define a folding and unfolding sequence.

A system and apparatus for gliding rocking chairs comprises an adult rocking chair, a gliding base, a bassinet, and a latching mechanism, where the chair is attached to the base and a bassinet is placed on eth base to transfer the rocking motion of said chair to the bassinet. A system and method is disclosed in which a bassinet is attached to the stool and the stool is further attached to the rocker. The rocking motion allows the bassinet to be rocked in a hands free manner by the person sitting in the chair. Because the bassinet is placed on the footstool, both the bassinet and rocking chair thereafter move as one unit. The rocker has complete control of the bassinet; by simply slowing or speeding up their own rocking, the person in the rocker can control the rocking of the bassinet, hands free. Furthermore, the chair should have attachment points on both sides, so that the stool can be attached to either side of the chair, depending on the user's needs, allowing a different stool to be attached to each side if a parent has twins.

Child seat inserts and methods of manufacture

Seat inserts and methods of manufacture are described. An example seat insert includes a fastener to removably couple the seat insert to a bassinet or playard. The example seat include also includes a first base panel having a first length, a first end and a second end and a second base panel having a second length, a first end and a second end. The second end of the first base panel is coupled to the first end of the second base panel. In addition, the first length is longer than the second length so that the first base panel is positioned at a first incline and the second base panel is positioned at a second incline different than the first incline to cause a child occupant to assume a semi-upright position.
