Portable hand tool

Tools for operating on an object, such as a wire or cable are provided. The tool includes a housing and a working head assembly. The working head assembly has a movable section and fixed section secured to the housing. The movable section has a first end movably secured to a first end of the fixed section. The movable section has a second end that is releasably secured to a second end of the fixed section using a latch pin. The working head assembly also includes a latch pin stop that is positioned in the second end of the movable section. The latch pin stop is configured to prevent the latch pin from releasably securing the movable section to the fixed section until the movable section is properly aligned with the fixed section.

Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for ram return in cutting tools. A cutting tool can include a frame, a cutting blade coupled to the frame, and an outer ram coupled to the frame. The outer ram can include a bore to receive hydraulic fluid to provide a first stage of movement for the cutting blade into to a cutting position. The cutting tool can also include an inner ram, an extension spring, a compression spring, or a gas spring to provide a second stage of movement to return the ram and the cutting blade to a non-cutting position.

A working tool has a working head and a body device. In an embodiment, an electric motor having a drive shaft with a longitudinal axis, and a transmission are connected to each other and are in the body device. In an embodiment, the working head is a hydraulic cylinder with a hydraulic piston that can be moved between extended and retracted positions in a direction of travel. A hydraulic medium pump and a drive for the hydraulic medium are provided in the body device. In an embodiment, the transmission is connected to the electric motor so as to be movable in the direction of the longitudinal axis in such a way that it is limited by a limit stop. In an embodiment, the hydraulic cylinder is attached to the body device so as to be movable in the direction of travel that it is limited by a limit stop.

Power tool

A hydraulic tool includes a tool head and a moveable piston coupled to the tool head. The hydraulic tool head includes a plurality of jaws, which are operable to open and close for performing work on a workpiece. The hydraulic tool also includes a motor operable to drive the moveable piston to close the plurality of jaws to a closed position at which the work on the workpiece is completed. The hydraulic tool further includes a position sensor configured to detect when the plurality of jaws are at the closed position and responsively generate a sensor signal indicating that the plurality of jaws are at the closed position. Additionally, the hydraulic tool includes a controller configured to receive the sensor signal from the position sensor. The controller is configured to operate the motor based on the sensor signal that the controller receives from the position sensor.

Hydraulic power tool

A hydraulic power tool includes a housing defining a cylinder, a piston at least partially positioned within the cylinder and movable between a retracted position and an extended position, a clevis supporting a head of the power tool, a nut coupled to an outer peripheral surface of the clevis, and a collar coupled to the housing and surrounding the nut to axially constrain the nut between the collar and the housing while permitting relative rotation between the collar and the nut.

COMPRESSION OR CUTTING TOOL

A hand-held tool (1) manually operable to compress or cut, the tool (1) being elongated bar-shaped or gun-shaped and including a casing (2) forming a grip portion, a motor (3) supported by the casing (2), a reduction and conversion mechanism (5) supported by the casing (2) and connected to the motor (3) and to an actuating member (6). The reduction and conversion mechanism (5) is configured to make the actuating member (6) translate along an actuating axis (7) in response to a rotational motion of the motor (3). A working head (8), connected to the casing (2), interacts with the actuating member (6) so that the working head (8) performs a compression or cutting movement in response to the translation of the actuating member (6). The reduction and conversion mechanism (5) has a conversion mechanism (9) with a planetary roller screw (10, 12, 14).

HYDRAULIC TOOLS

A hydraulic tool for working on a workpiece. A housing is configured for holding. A motor is positioned in the housing. A battery is supported by the housing and operable to supply power to the motor. A drive mechanism is supported by the housing and includes a cylinder, a piston moveably supported in the cylinder, and a pump powered by the motor and operable to supply hydraulic fluid to the cylinder to move the piston relative to the cylinder. A jaw member is supported by the housing and configured to engage with the workpiece. A spindle is operatively coupled to the drive mechanism such that operating the drive mechanism moves the spindle relative to the jaw member to work on the workpiece.

The die has a cutout which is positionable to align with a passageway through the housing. The workpiece seat plate is spaced from the housing by the standoff, and has a cutout which at least partially aligns with the passageway in the housing and the cutout in the die.

Motor-operated shears
