A portable changing table device for folding and porting, allowing a user to transport items within the changing table while folded includes a platform having a base wall and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from the base wall. The platform includes a first section that is pivotably coupled to a second section. The first and second sections pivot together into a folded configuration wherein the peripheral wall on the first section contacts the peripheral wall on the second section. A central hinge pivotably couples the first section to the second section. A plurality of legs is removably coupled to the platform to support the platform above a ground surface. Each leg of the plurality of legs is pivotably coupled to a bottom side of the base wall whereby each of the plurality of legs pivots upwardly toward the bottom side of the base wall.

The system includes a garment including lateral tabs configured to removably attach to spaced tethers attached to the fitted cover. In use, the garment is positioned between the spaced tethers and each tether removably attaches to both sides of the respective tab such that the tab is captured between portions of the tether. In embodiments, the tabs and tethers removably attach using hook and look fasteners having a high resistance to shear pulling forces. In embodiments, the system resists rollover motion without constraining hip motion.

The method includes placing a new diaper onto a diapering system on the core, placing the person on the backrest, moving the core from an initial position to a first position adjacent the diapering area, removing the used diaper using a diaper removing system, depositing the used diaper into a waste tank by the diaper removing system of the core, moving a diapering system of the core into a position adjacent the diapering area, placing the new diaper, held by the diapering system, onto the diapering area, and moving the core back to the initial position after the new diaper has been placed on the diapering area of the person. Addition steps can include sealing a plastic bag for holding the removed used diaper and washing the diapering area.
