TUBULAR CUTTING APPARATUS
20170282263 · 2017-10-05 ·

An apparatus for cutting off concrete, wooden, and/or metal piles, casing, conductor pipe and other metal tubulars, uses a metal frame and a metal blade linearly moveable within the frame, the blade being hydraulically and/or pneumatically driven to puncture and then slice and split through the metal being cut off, the cutting surface of the blade having a removable, centralized puncture point located essentially at the projected intersection between two concave cutting surfaces.

ULTRASONIC BLADE FOR CUTTING A METAL

Systems and methods related to cutting (e.g., ultrasonically cutting) metals (e.g., lithium metal) and electrode precursors are generally provided. The electrodes or electrode precursors may involve, for example, a lithium metal electrode or a lithium composite electrode, e.g., for use in an electrochemical cell or battery.

CUTTING DEVICE

A can cutting device having a main body and a can support assembly coupled to the main body. The can support assembly having a shaft that extends along a longitudinal shaft axis, an eccentrically mounted mandrel that extends along a longitudinal mandrel axis parallel to the longitudinal shaft axis, and a cutter coupled to the main body having a cutting surface. The can is positionable in a mounted position such that the can is rotatable about a can axis of rotation, the cutting surface is positionable to contact the portion of the can body supported by the mandrel at the cutting location, and when the cutting surface is in contact with the portion of the can body supported by the mandrel at the cutting location and the can is rotated about the can axis of rotation, the cutting surface cuts the portion of the can body at the cutting location.

ROTARY SERRATOR KNIFE

A coil slitting tool in the form of a rotary serrator knife for use on coil slitting machines includes a plurality of serration undulations disposed on one or more faces about the outer periphery. The rotary serrator knife tool may incorporate a concentrically located bore about an inner diameter for mounting on an arbor and may further incorporate a keyway. The rotary serrator knife may be formed from an assembly having, a central rotary disk about which mount one or more removable inserts including the serration undulation portion. The one or more removable inserts may include serration undulations on one side or two sides and mount substantially to the perimeter of a mounting disk by use of fasteners.

Portable in-line cutting tool with stabilizer

An in-line portable, hand held hydraulic cutting tool having a handle assembly and a working head assembly is provided. The handle assembly has a tool frame portion and a neck portion. The working head assembly has a pair of jaw members joined so that they are movable relative to each other and held in place by a locking pin. Each jaw member has a cutting blade secured to or directly formed into the jaw member. A stabilizer can be secured to or directly formed into one or both jaw members. The one or more stabilizers are aligned with a respective cutting blade such that during a cutting operation at least an edge of the stabilizer engages an object being cut to limit rotation of the object during the cutting operation.

Apparatus for separating a hard disk drive lid from a hard disk drive housing of an assembled hard disk drive
11429088 · 2022-08-30 ·

A method and apparatus for efficiently dismantling hard disk drives, including a holder assembly to clamp a hard disk drive, a scanner that reads identification information of the hard disk drive. A chain conveyor belt indexes the hard disk drive to a position at which a logic board of the hard disk drive is peeled off and dropped into a bin, and to a position at which a lid of the hard disk drive is separated from a housing by way of a wedge, and indexes to a punch position at which magnets are punched in a direction from the logic board side of the hard disk drive. By separating and disposing the logic board and the lid, each hard disk drive is efficiently and securely dismantled.

Tire downsizing apparatus
11235400 · 2022-02-01 · ·

Systems and methods for downsizing tires are disclosed. An automated downsizing apparatus comprises a cradle, mandrel table, cutting apparatus, and a control unit. A tire mounted on the cradle may be received by the movable and rotatable mandrel table, and positioned for engagement with the cutting apparatus. A user may customize a cutting configuration to be executed by the control unit. The control unit positions the mandrel table and cutting apparatus to remove portions from the tire, according to the cutting configuration. During operation, one or more system parameters may be monitored to determine compliance with the selected configuration, and the automated execution may be manually overridden.

An example shearing head includes a first member and a second member being rotatable about a pin. The first member has a shearing surface forming a substantially right angle with a first lateral surface of the first member. The second member has a shearing surface forming a substantially right angle with a second lateral surface of the second member. The second member includes a first distal surface and a second distal surface forming a substantially right angle. The first distal surface and the second distal surface are substantially perpendicular to the second lateral surface. The second member includes a third lateral surface opposing the second lateral surface and a retainer is attached to the second member. A first surface of the retainer contacts the first distal surface, a second surface of the retainer contacts the second distal surface, and the third lateral surface contacts a third surface of the retainer.

Armored Cable Cutter with Cutting Blade Retention

A cutting head for a hydraulic power tool includes a first jaw that includes a first ear configured with a slot for receiving a corresponding ear. The second jaw includes a second ear with a third ear bore that aligns in between a first ear bore and to a second ear bore of the first ear when the second ear is coupled in the slot of the first ear. The cutting head further includes a spring-biased flange coupled to a blade mounted to the first jaw and a retained coupled at a fixed position to a blade mounted to the second jaw. The retainer is configured to receive the flange during a cutting action such that the flange prevents the blades from shifting out of alignment during the cutting action.
