Embodiments of the invention provide a die retainer for use in a tool. The die retainer can include a ram head, a release button, and a die pin. The ram head includes a die cavity and a pair of lateral sides on opposing sides of the die cavity. The release button can extend through a release button hole formed in the ram head hand include opposing ends that extend past each of the corresponding pair of lateral sides. The die pin extends through a die pin cavity that intersects the release button hole. The die release button can be actuatable from either of the opposing ends to retract the die pin from the die cavity.

POWER TOOL ACCESSORIES FOR CUTTING TUBULAR MEMBERS

A power tool accessory for cutting tubular members includes a housing, an input shaft configured to be coupled to a rotary power tool, a transmission, and a cutting head removably received in a front end of the housing. The transmission includes an input gear and an output gear with a first plurality of teeth. The cutting head has a central opening, a cutting blade protruding into the central opening, and a second plurality of teeth engaged by the first plurality of teeth. A clamp assembly coupled to the housing is moveable between a first position where the cutting head is removable from the housing and a second position where the cutting head is retained in the housing. The cutting head receives a tubular member in the central opening with the cutting blade engaging the tubular member to cut the tubular member as the cutting head rotates about the tubular member.

Metal clad cable cutting machine

A machine forms a whip from a length of cable. The machine includes a clamping assembly, a notching assembly, and a cutting assembly. The clamping assembly includes a pad which can be move into and out of a cable travel space. The notching assembly includes a notching saw which cuts an outer jacket of the cable in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. Movement of the pad also causes movement of the notching saw to move into the cable travel space or into a raised position. The cutting assembly includes a cutting tool which transversely cuts the conductors of the cable.

Tool Having a Cutting Edge Formed by a Plurality of Blade Elements
20210362251 · 2021-11-25 ·

A tool for cutting a workpiece includes a first tool part, which has a first cutting edge formed by a plurality of first blade elements, and a second tool part, which is opposite the first tool part and has a second cutting edge. In order to cut the workpiece which can be arranged between the tool parts, the tool parts can be moved towards one another from an open position into a cutting position. A particular, separate receiving contour of the first tool part is associated with the relevant first blade element, which receiving contour corresponds to a particular external contour of the relevant first blade element, wherein the relevant first blade element is form-fittingly arranged at least predominantly in the associated receiving contour of the first tool part.

Demolition device and utility machine for demolishing a concrete structure

The application relates to a demolition device for demolishing a concrete structure according to one embodiment. The device has a crushing blade for crushing concrete, and a cutting blade for cutting metal or a pulverizing blade for grinding concrete, and a combination blade. The device can be attached to a utility machine in a detachable manner. The crushing and cutting/pulverizing blade are separate blades from each other. The combination blade is adapted to be used for crushing concrete with the crushing blade. The combination blade is adapted to be used for cutting metal with the cutting blade or for grinding concrete with the pulverizing blade. The combination blade has abutment surface parts for the crushing and cutting/pulverizing blade. The abutment surface part for the cutting/pulverizing blade makes possible a power transmission between the cutting/pulverizing and combination blade when using the combination blade for crushing concrete. The abutment surface part for the crushing blade makes possible a power transmission between the crushing and combination blade when using the combination blade for cutting metal or grinding concrete.

Armored cable cutter with cutting blade retention

A cutting head for a hydraulic power tool includes a first jaw that includes a first ear configured with a slot for receiving a corresponding ear. The second jaw includes a second ear with a third ear bore that aligns in between a first ear bore and to a second ear bore of the first ear when the second ear is coupled in the slot of the first ear. The cutting head further includes a spring-biased flange coupled to a blade mounted to the first jaw and a retained coupled at a fixed position to a blade mounted to the second jaw. The retainer is configured to receive the flange during a cutting action such that the flange prevents the blades from shifting out of alignment during the cutting action.

Metal stud cutting blade and related machines and methods

A blade is configured for use in cutting metal studs, the blade including a cutting edge, the cutting edge configured to engage a metal stud such that the metal stud and debris from a cut of the metal stud are pushed in different directions. Cutting machines including the blade are also disclosed, as methods of cutting metal studs using the blade.

Hydraulic power tool

A hydraulic power tool includes a housing defining a cylinder, a piston at least partially positioned within the cylinder and movable between a retracted position and an extended position, a clevis supporting a head of the power tool, a nut coupled to an outer peripheral surface of the clevis, and a collar coupled to the housing and surrounding the nut to axially constrain the nut between the collar and the housing while permitting relative rotation between the collar and the nut.
