An easily operable, highly durable cutting machine finely adjusts the miter angle of a turntable. A cutting machine includes a turntable supported in a manner rotatable horizontally to a base and including a substantially disk-shaped table body to receive a workpiece and a table extension protruding forward from the table body, a cutting machine body located above the turntable and connected in a manner swingable vertically to the turntable, and a fine angle adjuster that adjusts a rotation angle of the turntable with respect to the base and including a rack on the base, a pinion located in the table body within an area of the table body as viewed from above and engageable with the rack directly or indirectly, and an operation part operable to rotate the pinion.

Attachable and extendable saw and methods for using same

An attachable and extendable saw and methods for cutting an object on a work surface with the attachable and extendable saw are provided. The extendable saw can include a saw blade housing coupled to a main body by at least one extendable member, the saw blade housing at least partially covers a saw blade and the extendable member can be configured to move the saw blade housing and the saw blade between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the main body. The extendable saw can also include a motorized unit coupled to the saw blade and configured to rotate or provide other blade movement to the saw blade and a switchable device or unit disposed on the main body and having at least one contact surface that facilitates attachment of the extendable saw to the work surface, said contact surface being switchable between a magnetized or vacuum state and a non-magnetized state or non-vacuum state, respectively. Attachment of the saw blade to the attachable and extendable saw is provided for.

The invention is a method for operating a panel saw of a framework supporting a set of beveled railings, the railings being held in a parallel and spaced apart orientation to one another and to the framework; a carriage having at least two pairs of opposing beveled carriage side edges and at least one tool securing apparatus, one pair of opposing carriage side edges reversibly removably engages the set of railings to movably locate the carriage between the set of railings; wherein the carriage moves in and out of contact with the railings through the top ends of the railings to allow the one pair of carriage side edges to be moved out of contact with the set of railings while alternately allowing the remaining pair to reversibly engage the set of railings in a manner that lets permits the carriage move along the railings in a self-centering manner.

The roller assembly includes an upper roller engaged with an upper portion of the guide rail, a lower roller engaged with a lower portion of the guide rail, and a resilient member biasing at least one of the upper roller or the lower roller against the guide rail.

Attachable and extendable saw and methods for using same

An attachable and extendable saw and methods for cutting objects with the attachable and extendable saw are provided. The attachable and extendable saw can include a blade housing coupled to a main body. The blade housing at least partially covers a saw blade and the extendable member can be configured to move the saw blade with or without the blade housing between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the main body. The extendable saw can also include means to drive the saw blade, means to drive the extendable member, and means for attaching the attachable and extendable saw to the objects to be cut. Saw blade height adjustment means, handles for ease of use, and eyelets for tethering are provided. The saw blade is attached to the attachable and extendable saw via pins and fasteners.

A sample preparation saw (10) has a base (130, 146, 14, 47), a housing (12, 76), a saw (10) assembly (30, 58) mounted to the base (130, 146, 14, 47), a dressing assembly (58), a sample clamping assembly (100) mounted to the base (130, 146, 14, 47), and a reservoir assembly (30, 58). The saw (10) assembly (30, 58) includes a blade assembly (30) with a rotating blade (24). The blade assembly (30) is movable along x-, y- and z-axes by at least two drives (27, 36). The dressing assembly (58) is operable to dress the rotating blade (24). The sample clamping assembly (100) includes a rail (102), a sample mount (104) removably positioned on the rail (102) and a saddle (106) operable to hold a sample. The reservoir assembly (30, 58) is operable to recirculate a rinse fluid sprayed on the rotating blade (24), and includes a basin (178) having a pump (180) and a series of weirs (188A, 188).

MITER SAW WITH IMPROVED CARRYING MODE

A miter saw has a base assembly and a rotatable table disposed on the base assembly. The rotatable table is rotatable about a substantially vertical miter axis and has a substantially horizontal workpiece-supporting plane. A saw assembly is connected to the table and includes a blade. The blade is movable downwardly from a first position where the blade is above the workpiece-supporting plane to a second position where a portion of the blade is below the workpiece-supporting plane. The base assembly has a top surface and a first handle disposed on the top surface, with a first hole on the top surface extending through the base assembly, the first hole being configured to allow a user to extend the user's hand therethrough and grip the first handle.

Miter saw

A miter saw includes a base having a peripheral wall, a table rotatably supported upon the base, and a miter angle lock. The miter angle lock includes a pin having a first end adjacent the peripheral wall and an opposite second end. The miter angle lock also includes a cam member engageable with the second end of the pin and movable between a locked position in which the first end of the pin is brought into frictional contact with the peripheral wall for locking the table relative to the base, and an unlocked position in which the first end of the pin is spaced from the peripheral wall of the base.
