An illuminator that emits light from a radially outer portion of the cutting tool toward the cutting tool includes a first light source and a second light source, and a first lens and a second lens. The first lens has a first emission surface including a first outermost portion located farthest and at a first distance from a first center axis including a first light source center of the first light source and perpendicular to the first light source. The second lens has a second emission surface including a second outermost portion located farthest and at a second distance from a second center axis including a second light source center of the second light source and perpendicular to the second light source. A distance between the first center axis and the second center axis is shorter than a sum of the first distance and the second distance.

A miter saw has a base assembly, a table rotatably disposed on the base assembly, a support section rotatably connected to the table, a guide bar fixedly attached to and extending forwardly from the support section, and a saw assembly sliding along the guide bar. The saw assembly is pivotable downwardly for cutting a workpiece disposed on the table. A handle is disposed adjacent to a forward end of the guide bar. The miter base has a miter blade slot extending therethrough. A miter saw is coupled to the miter housing. The miter saw has a miter arm. The miter saw has a miter handle coupled the miter arm. The miter handle has a power trigger.

To provide a cutting machine that suppresses swinging of the cutting portion when the battery pack is attached or detached, the cutting machine includes a cutting portion, a base, and a swing support mechanism. The cutting portion includes: a motor, a motor housing accommodating the motor, an output shaft configured to be rotated upon rotation of the motor, a battery pack serving as a power source of the motor, and a battery pack attaching portion including a pair of rail portions with which the battery pack is engageable, where a cutting blade is configured to be detachably attached to the output shaft. The base has a contact surface on which a workpiece is configured to be placed. The swing support mechanism is connected to the base and the cutting portion and includes a swing shaft extending in parallel to the output shaft. The swing support mechanism supporting the cutting portion such that the cutting portion is swingable about the swing shaft between a top dead center and a bottom dead center in a direction parallel to a side surface of the cutting blade. The pair of rail portions extend in a direction crossing the side surface of the cutting blade.

To provide a cutting machine that suppresses swinging of the cutting portion when the battery pack is attached or detached, the cutting machine includes a cutting portion, a base, and a swing support mechanism. The cutting portion includes: a motor, a motor housing accommodating the motor, an output shaft configured to be rotated upon rotation of the motor, a battery pack serving as a power source of the motor, and a battery pack attaching portion including a pair of rail portions with which the battery pack is engageable, where a cutting blade is configured to be detachably attached to the output shaft. The pair of rail portions extend in a direction crossing the side surface of the cutting blade.

A miter saw that includes a base, a worktable arranged on the base and defining a worktable plane, and a cutting head formed with or connected to an operating member operable by a user. The cutting head further includes a circular saw blade operative to rotate around a first axis and a motor operative to drive the circular saw blade. A fence is arranged on the worktable. The cutting head is further connected to a first guiding member configured for guiding chips to be discharged. The fence is formed with a guiding portion. The cutting head is operative to rotate around a second axis parallel to the worktable plane and, when the cutting head rotates around the second axis, the guiding portion is operative to guide the first guiding member to cross the fence.

A miter saw includes a base assembly and a saw unit pivotably coupled to the base assembly. The saw unit includes a saw arm, a brushless motor supported by the saw arm, and power electronics positioned outside the motor for supplying power to the motor. The power electronics are coupled to a structural component of the miter saw to utilize the entire mass of the structural component as a heat sink to dissipate heat generated by the power electronics.

A miter saw includes a base assembly and a saw unit pivotably coupled to the base assembly. The saw unit includes a motor for driving a saw blade about a rotational axis, a handle, a trigger coupled to the handle and moveable between a first position in which the motor is deactivated, and a second position in which the motor is activated to drive the saw blade, and a trigger lock pivotably coupled to the trigger for movement therewith to prevent movement of the trigger from the first position to the second position.

A miter saw includes a base assembly and a saw unit pivotably coupled to the base assembly. The saw unit includes a motor for driving a saw blade about a rotational axis, a handle, a trigger coupled to the handle and moveable between a first position in which the motor is deactivated, and a second position in which the motor is activated to drive the saw blade, and a trigger lock pivotably coupled to the trigger for movement therewith to prevent movement of the trigger from the first position to the second position.

A wet cutting saw for cutting a ground portion, the wet cutting saw including a blade rotatable about an axis, a liquid feed conduit for feeding liquid onto a surface of the blade as it rotates, a frame for carrying the blade and configured to travel over a surface of the ground portion, and a mounting assembly that mounts the blade to the frame, at least part of the mounting assembly pivotable relative to the frame to raise and lower the blade relative to the frame.
