Work table fence assembly and sled therefor
10532414 · 2020-01-14 · ·

A sled assembly configured to push stock along a fence includes a carriage and rollers mounted at spaced apart positions. The rollers engage the fence to guide movement of the carriage therealong and each has a peripheral portion for being received in a fence race. An adjustable roller mount selectively adjusts the position of the roller to align the peripheral portions of the rollers with the width of the race. An adjustable fence assembly includes an outfeed fence movable relative to an infeed fence. An outfeed fence adjustment mechanism includes mounting posts at spaced apart locations along the length of the outfeed fence movable to drive movement of the outfeed fence along an axis transverse to the feed direction.

Method of operating a power tool with a protected coupling plate

A method of mounting a capacitive coupling plate to a power tool assembly including a drop arm assembly, an actuating device configured to transfer a force to the drop arm assembly, and a control system configured to control the actuating device includes connecting a capacitive coupling plate bracket formed from a non-conductive material to a drop arm frame of the drop arm assembly, and mounting the capacitive coupling plate to the capacitive coupling plate bracket.

Table saw

A table saw has a base assembly, a table assembly supported by the base assembly, the table assembly, and a saw assembly supported by at least one of the table assembly and the base assembly. The saw assembly has a saw blade extending through the table assembly. The base assembly has at least one foot having a substantially horizontal surface, a substantially vertical surface, and a curved surface disposed between the substantially horizontal surface and the substantially vertical surface. The substantially vertical surface is substantially coplanar with a surface of the table assembly so that the table saw can be disposed on the substantially vertical surface and the surface of the table assembly.

Power tool motor with reduced electrical noise

A power tool assembly includes a drop arm assembly rotatably supporting an arbor shaft and movable between a first drop arm position and a second drop arm position, an actuating device configured to transfer a force to the drop arm assembly when the drop arm assembly is at the first drop arm assembly position, a control system configured to control the actuating device to transfer the force to the drop arm assembly when an unsafe condition is sensed, a motor operably connected to the arbor shaft through a gear, and a gear housing which houses the gear, the gear housing formed from a non-conductive material.

Duplex saw

A duplex saw, including a machine head assembly of which a top portion is mounted with a cutting working platform, a base, a rotating disk, and a machine head rotating seat positioned between the machine head assembly and the rotating disk and hinged with the machine head assembly and the rotating disk. The machine head assembly includes a motor, a machine frame, a gear box body, a transmission mechanism and a saw blade. The motor is fixed on the machine frame. The transmission mechanism is provided in the gear box body and constitutes a gear box assembly. A gear shaft of the motor drives the transmission mechanism. The gear box assembly can be rotated about the gear shaft of the motor. The blade is fixed on an output shaft of the transmission mechanism, the output shaft and the gear shaft of the motor are parallel to each other.

Table saws

Table saws are disclosed. The table saws can include a blade, an arbor, an arbor block, an elevation carriage, and a latch that connects the arbor block and the elevation carriage. The arbor block can have a first position in which the latch connects the arbor block and the elevation carriage, and a second position in which the latch does not connect the arbor block and the elevation carriage. The arbor block can pivot from the first position to the second position upon the occurrence of a retraction force. The table saw can include an actuator to cause the occurrence of the retraction force, and detection electronics to detect contact between the blade and a person. Woodworking machines with detection and reaction systems are also disclosed. A reaction system can include an explosive that causes retraction of a cutting tool.

EXTENDABLE RAILS FOR TABLE SAW
20190308258 · 2019-10-10 ·

A table saw includes a working surface and a rail system. The rail system includes stationary rails mounted along the working surface, and extension rails. The rails each include matching guide surfaces extending along the longitudinal axis and configured to support and guide a rip fence. The rails have a common connection interface that in each case includes a connecting end and a supporting end, such that the extension rails are mountable with the stationary rails. When mounted, the guide surfaces of the extension rails extend the guide surfaces of the stationary rails. The connecting end in the common connection interface includes a connection mechanism configured to urge the connecting end together with the supporting end to form an internal connection, and to align the guide surfaces of the connected rails to as to be co-planar with each other.
