WORK TABLE FENCE ASSEMBLY AND SLED THEREFOR
A sled assembly configured to push stock along a fence includes a carriage and rollers mounted at spaced apart positions. The rollers engage the fence to guide movement of the carriage therealong and each has a peripheral portion for being received in a fence race. An adjustable roller mount selectively adjusts the position of the roller to align the peripheral portions of the rollers with the width of the race. An adjustable fence assembly includes an outfeed fence movable relative to an infeed fence. An outfeed fence adjustment mechanism includes mounting posts at spaced apart locations along the length of the outfeed fence movable to drive movement of the outfeed fence along an axis transverse to the feed direction.

Power saw having a dual stage gear train
Embodiments of a power saw are disclosed which comprise a base structure including a generally flat top having an upper work surface with the top having an opening through which a circular blade can extend, a relatively narrow box-like undercarriage pivotably mounted to the base around a pivot axis to provide an adjustable bevel angle of the blade relative to the top, and a motor saw assembly comprising an arbor shaft for mounting a circular blade thereon, a drive motor having an output shaft extending generally parallel to the plane of the blade, the output shaft being oriented 90 degrees relative to the arbor shaft, a speed reducing gear train interconnecting the output shaft and the arbor shaft, a gear housing enclosing the gear train, the motor saw assembly being adjustably mounted to the undercarriage to vary the portion of the blade that extends above the upper work surface.
Combination of work table and fence assembly and table cutting machine with combination
A combination includes a work table defining a working surface for placing a workpiece and a fence assembly including a fence. The fence is rotatably mounted on the work table. The fence includes a first contacting surface which is arranged to provide an abutting surface when the fence is rotated to an abutting position and which is arranged to provide an extending surface when the fence is rotated to an extending position, a second contacting surface which is arranged to provide a supporting surface when the fence is rotated to a supporting position, and a third contacting surface which is arranged to provide an abutting surface when the fence is rotated to the supporting position.

Table saw having a blade height adjustment mechanism
A table saw includes a height adjustment wheel including a threaded shaft; a blade suspension mechanism secured to a lock crank; a rod secured to both the blade suspension mechanism and a bottom of the cutting surface; an electric motor including a driving shaft and a link extending forward to secure to the blade suspension mechanism; a circular saw blade operatively connected to the driving shaft; first and second mounting plates each secured to the link and including a slanted slot element; and an interconnection including two end holes moveably disposed in the slot elements of the first and second mounting plates respectively, and an intermediate threaded hole secured to the threaded shaft. A rotation of the height adjustment wheel moves the saw blade up or down.
Table saw
Table saws and table saws designed to incorporate safety systems are disclosed. The table saws may include vertical slide elevation mechanisms positioned toward the rear of the saw and constructed so that an arbor block and blade can retract when a safety system detects an unsafe condition. Other table saw parts and components are also disclosed.
Table saw with actuator module
A power tool in one embodiment includes a swing arm assembly movable along a swing path between a first swing arm position and a second swing arm position, a latch pin pivotable between a first position and a second position, an actuator module configured to receive a plurality of actuators, a first actuating module position within the actuator module configured to align a first of the plurality of actuators with a strike plate on the swing arm assembly, a loader configured to bias a second of the plurality of actuators from a second actuating module position within the actuator module toward the first actuating module position, and a control system configured to actuate each of the plurality of actuators positioned in the first actuating module position to force the swing arm assembly away from the first swing arm position and toward the second swing arm position.
Power tool with protected coupling plate
A power tool assembly includes a drop arm assembly movable along a drop path between a first drop arm assembly position whereat a shaping device portion supported by the drop arm assembly extends above a workpiece support surface and a second drop arm assembly position whereat the portion does not extend above the workpiece support surface, the drop arm assembly including a capacitive coupling plate bracket formed from a non-conductive material and connected to a drop arm frame, and a capacitive coupling plate mounted to the capacitive coupling plate bracket, an actuating device configured to transfer a force to the drop arm assembly when the drop arm assembly is at the first drop arm assembly position, and a control system operably connected to the capacitive coupling plate and configured to control the actuating device to transfer the force to the drop arm assembly when an unsafe condition is sensed.
Ratchet and release mechanism for swing arm of table saw
A table saw includes a safety system to protect a user from injury. The safety system detects a sensed condition and rapidly moves a saw blade away from the user. The safety system includes a dual ratchet mechanism to prevent the blade from rebounding back above a work surface after an initial rapid retraction of the blade. The table saw has a swing arm that rotates to move the blade below the work surface. A first ratchet engages a first contact surface of the swing arm after rotation of the swing arm over a first range of angular displacements to prevent counter rotation of the swing arm. A second ratchet engages a second contact surface of the swing arm after rotation of the swing arm over a second range of angular displacements to prevent counter rotation of the swing arm.
