Ring Saw with Water Flushing System

A ring saw includes a ring saw blade, a tool holder that guides the ring saw blade in a cutting plane, a receiving space in which the tool holder is disposed, a motor, and a driving wheel where the ring saw blade is drivable in the cutting plane by the driving wheel and the driving wheel is coupled to the motor. A guide roller is disposed on a side of the cutting plane where the ring saw blade is guidable by the guide roller from the side and where an outlet of a water flushing system is directed at the guide roller.

The processor is configured to: i) receive, from the current sensor, an electrical current reading associated with the motor, and ii) transmit, to the guard actuator, one or more commands to control the movement of the guard based on the electrical current reading.

The controller is configured to output a first control signal to one high-side switch to place it in an on or off state and output a second control signal to one low-side switch to place it in the other state. The low-side terminal of one high-side switch is connected to the high-side terminal of one low-side switch.
