FOLDABLE MITER SAW AND FOLDABLE METHOD OF MITER SAW
A foldable miter saw and folding method of miter saw are disclosed. The foldable miter saw includes a base unit, a workable, and a cutting unit. The cutting unit includes a support arm pivotally mounted on the worktable, a saw blade, and a driver. The miter saw folding method includes the step of biasing the cutting unit relative to the base unit and the step of rotating the support arm relative to the base unit and the worktable to change the cutting unit from a working position to a folded position, thus reducing the vertical space occupied by the cutting unit and facilitating delivery, storage and package of the foldable miter saw.
MITER SAW LINEAR MOVEMENT ASSEMBLY
A miter saw assembly is presented as a power tool, the miter saw assembly includes a base; a fixture supported on said base; a proximal pair of arms, hinged with four hinges to said fixture at a first hinge point; a gear box plate, hinged with four hinges to said proximal pair of arms at a second hinge point; a distal pair of arms, hinged with four hinges to said gear box at a first end, and a second end hinged with four hinges to said distal pair of arms; a gearing assembly hinged to said gear box plate, with a first gear attached to a first one of said proximal pair of arms and a second gear attached to a first one of said distal pair of arms, and a rotary saw, mounted to said second end of said distal pair of arms.
DADO INDEXING JIG AND METHOD OF CUTTING A DADO
A dado indexing jig includes a plurality of indexing members and indexing surfaces that are adjustable relative to one another and a cutting element to account for a width of a workpiece that corresponds to the width of a dado to be cut. In addition, the indexing surfaces are adjustable to account for a width of a blade or router to cut a dado.
ARCHERY ARROW WET SAW AND METHOD
An arrow saw includes a blade misting arrangement that provides for control and removal of carbon particulate. The arrow saw includes a base with a mounted motorized saw and an arrow tip support that supports the tip of the archery arrow while cutting. The saw includes a hood enclosing the blade with a misting nozzle for generating a mist within the hood during cutting operations. The mist captures particulate generated during the cutting operation and a vacuum system is connected to the hood to remove the wetted particulate. The arrow saw also has a pressurized water supply inlet coupled to a misting nozzle on the hood for providing a source of pressurized water to the misting nozzle.
Table saw
A table saw has a base assembly, a table assembly supported by the base assembly, the table assembly, and a saw assembly supported by at least one of the table assembly and the base assembly. The saw assembly has a saw blade extending through the table assembly. The base assembly has at least one foot having a substantially horizontal surface, a substantially vertical surface, and a curved surface disposed between the substantially horizontal surface and the substantially vertical surface. The substantially vertical surface is substantially coplanar with a surface of the table assembly so that the table saw can be disposed on the substantially vertical surface and the surface of the table assembly.
Three part slide and locking mechanism for use with a table saw
A table saw is provided with a table assembly including an upper cutting surface having a front edge and a rear edge; a slide assembly including, at each of the front edge and the rear edge, an inner slide member, an intermediate slide member slidably journalled in the inner slide member, and an outer slide member slidably journalled in the intermediate slide member wherein the intermediate slide member includes a pin moveably disposed in an elongated slot of the outer slide member; and a lock assembly under the upper cutting surface and including a lever, a cam at a distal end of the lever, and a spring biased two part rod wherein the cam is pivotably disposed between two parts of the rod. In response to a clockwise turning of the lever and the cam the biasing member expands to unlock the slide assembly.
Rip fence with locking device
A moveable rip fence of a table saw includes a housing including an elongated opening on a top, a seat secured to an underside of top of the housing, the seat having a lower through hole, and a stop member across two sides of the housing, a lever pivotably fastened in the elongated opening; a link pivotably interconnecting the lever and a spring biased rod, an inverted L-shaped limit member secured across two sides of the housing; a clamping member having a top secured by a support member and including an intermediate hole member and a projecting base member; and a locking member including a lower wedge member fastened on the base member, and a flexible inclined member on a top. The lever is flush with the top of the housing in a locked position. A pressing of a rear portion of the lever unlocks the rip fence.
Tool Having Composite Housing
A power tool includes a tool housing and a mechanism disposed inside the tool housing. The tool housing has a composite structure that includes an outer layer and an inner layer. The outer layer provides an outer surface of the power tool housing and comprises a first material. The outer layer is an assembly of concave shell portions joined along parting lines. The inner layer is disposed on an inner surface of at least a portion of the outer layer so as to be disposed between the portion of the outer layer and the mechanism. The inner layer comprises a second material. The first material has a density that is at least three times the density of the second material. The inner layer has a peripheral edges that are offset relative to the parting lines such that the inner layer extends continuously across the parting lines.
FLOOR SAW WITH BLADE GUARD
A powered saw assembly includes a base having a top surface, a column fixed to the top surface, and a guide rail supported above the top surface. The assembly includes a saw unit translatable along the guide rail, the saw unit including a rotating arbor to which a saw blade is attachable for co-rotation therewith. A blade guard at least partially surrounds the saw blade and defines an opening through which the saw blade is movable for attaching or removing the saw blade relative to the arbor. A cover is movably coupled to the blade guard to selectively close the opening. With the cover moved away from the blade guard to expose the opening, the saw blade is attachable or removable relative to the arbor through the opening without passing the saw blade through the slot.
Saw bench
A saw bench having a first pair of legs and a second pair of legs. Between the first pair of legs and the second pair of legs are two cross members for material to be cut. A sawing kerf is formed between cross members. A first guide rail and/or a second guide rail for a sawing member is mounted on the saw bench in such a way that, during sawing of the material to be cut, the sawing member engages through the sawing kerf below a level of the material to be cut, which is held by the two cross members.
