RECIPROCATING TOOL
A reciprocating saw serving as reciprocating tool is equipped with a motor, a drive transmission mechanism that converts rotation of the motor into reciprocating motion, a rod that is connected to the drive transmission mechanism and that engages in reciprocating motion, and an upper roller and a lower roller that are capable of rolling and that have depressed portions that are capable of coming in contact with the rod, wherein the cross-section of the rod has no corners, and the depressed portions of the upper roller and the lower roller have hourglass-like profiles.
Jigsaw
A jigsaw includes a main body having a grasping part configured to be grasped by a user, a blade projecting downwardly from a front part of the main body and configured to reciprocate up and down, and a base coupled to a lower part of the main body and configured to make contact with a workpiece. A rear end of a contact surface that is configured to make contact with the workpiece is located at a position that coincides with or is rearward of the rear end of the grasping part.

Jigsaw Comprising Mutually Spaced Connecting Regions
The disclosure relates to a jigsaw having a housing unit and a base plate, wherein the housing unit is at least 25%, in particular around 40-60%, longer than the base plate in the longitudinal direction of the jigsaw. According to the disclosure, the housing unit and the base plate are bracingly interconnected, in particular in a rigid or damped manner, by means of two connecting regions, which are mutually spaced in the longitudinal direction of the jigsaw, in particular comprising bearing and/or fixing points.
Line following power tool
An apparatus for use with a machine tool that comprises a base plate with a cut hole; at least one drive motor attached to the base plate; at least one wheel mechanically attached to the at least one drive motor; a microprocessor electrically connected to the at least one drive motor, the microprocessor having a switch input and memory, the memory comprising parameters corresponding to the shape and position of a cut area and a cut point within the cut hole; a switch electrically connected to the switch input; and an optical sensor having an optical axis and a field of view, the optical sensor spaced a distance from the base plate between the first end and the cut hole and electrically connected to the microprocessor, the optical sensor oriented so that the cut hole is within the field of view.
SAW GUIDE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A saw guide can include pivotally connected arcuate sections having a plurality of slots formed therein to receive and guide saw blades as they cut a workpiece, such as a pipe or tube. The slots are of varying width so that the saw guide can be used with different saws. For example, the saw guide can include a first slot sized to receive and guide the blade of a reciprocating saw, and a relatively narrower second slot, sized to receive the blade of a portable band saw. The saw guide can include a locking mechanism to securely hold the saw guide on the workpiece, and a stopping mechanism for preventing the saw blade from cutting into the saw guide.
Scissors attachment apparatus for a reciprocating tool
A scissors attachment can also be attached to the reciprocating tool for cutting one or more sheets of material. The scissors attachment includes an extension bar and first and second blades pivotally attached. A tool chuck coupling connects one of the blades to the reciprocating tool chuck of the reciprocating tool. A bar slot can be integrally defined on the tool or defined on the neck mount assembly for receiving and securing in place the extension bar. A method of stabilizing a cutting instrument is also provided. Additionally, a method of cutting material is provided.
AUXILIARY BASE AND JIGSAW
An auxiliary base further improves the stability of a jigsaw during cutting as appropriate. An auxiliary base is attachable to a jigsaw. The jigsaw includes a base unit to be in contact with a workpiece, and a body tiltable relative to the base unit in a lateral direction. The auxiliary base includes a contact portion to be in contact with the workpiece when the auxiliary base is attached to the jigsaw. The auxiliary base is attachable with an auxiliary width from the contact portion to a middle of the base unit in the lateral direction of the body being greater than a width of the base unit in the lateral direction.
