TAKE-UP AND PAYOFF SYSTEM FOR VERTICAL PROFILING CUTTING SAW (VPX)
A profiling saw with band knife loop take-up and payoff compensation includes an endless circulating band knife which is guided around a plurality of band knife pulleys so the take-up and payoff adjustment is provided of the loop circulation path shape. The take-up and payoff system operates to move a pulley in the vertical plane for allowing the band knife to maintain its cutting orientation during movement and providing for more rapid and precision cuts into a workpiece.

The present invention is a new and improved coping saw for performing a coping operation. The saw is operable in a first orientation for performing a first cut and in a second orientation for performing a coping second cut and comprises a handle having one or more power switches for activating and deactivating the drive system in both the first orientation and in the second orientation.
BAND-SAW MACHINE AND METHOD FOR SAWING A METAL TUBE
A method for sawing a metal tube 3 or hollow section using a band-saw machine which has a stationary lower saw part 1 having a saw table 2 for placing and fixing a metal tube 3 to be sawn, and an upper saw part 4 which is movable in relation to the lower saw part 1 and which has a revolving saw band 5. The revolving saw band 5 via a feed motion 13 of the upper saw part 4, which is performed in relation to the lower saw part 1, penetrates the metal tube 3 and, for performing a saw cut, is guided through said metal tube 3. The feed motion is carried out substantially counter to the force of gravity.
Transportable horizontal bandsaw assembly
A bandsaw assembly for cutting large diameter workpieces such as turbine rotors, heat exchangers or shafts at a plant or factory and a method of using the same is disclosed. The assembly includes a frame; ground-engaging wheels or a track provided on the frame; a plurality of spaced apart towers extending vertically upwardly from the frame; a rotatable drive wheel mounted on each tower, said drive wheel being horizontally oriented and presenting a vertically oriented circumferential surface; a motor operatively engaged with one or more of the drive wheels; and a bandsaw blade passing around the wheels and being in contact with the circumferential surfaces thereof; said blade being selectively driven by the drive wheels. The towers are variable in length to raise or lower the blade. The assembly is reduced in width for transportation or storage and increased in width for operation.
