Display case door with door handle camera
In one general aspect, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a display case door that includes a transparent panel and a door handle coupled to the transparent panel. The handle includes a camera that is coupled to the handle. The camera is positioned such that a field of view of the camera is aimed away from the transparent panel. The handle includes an aperture opposite the camera lens. The aperture receives a power cable extending away from the camera to a power source.
GRID INTERACTIVE MICRO-DISTRIBUTED REFRIGERATED DISPLAY CASE
The present disclosure relates to an improved open vertical display case (OVDC) which utilizes radiant cooling to cool and/or maintain food products at a target temperature. The radiant cooling is performed using a plurality of piping routed through the walls and containing a first refrigerant stream. The plurality of piping may be cooled using a refrigeration circuit. In some embodiments, a phase change material may be used for thermal energy storage and positioned between the plurality of piping and the refrigeration circuit. In some embodiments, the refrigeration circuit may be connected to heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and water heating systems within the building.
Open-front refrigerator and a method of cooling items therein
The present invention relates to a display cabinet (1) having an open face; an air circulation system comprising: an air inlet (9) located adjacent to a perimeter of the open front face; an air outlet (7) located adjacent to the perimeter of the open front face opposite the air inlet (9), and configured to blow air across the open front face toward the air inlet (9); an air conduit (11, 17) for conveying air from the air inlet (9) to the air outlet (7); and an air pump configured to draw air from the air inlet (9), move the air thus drawn through the air conduit (11, 17) to the air outlet (7); and at least one shelf (3) disposed within the display cabinet (1); wherein the air conduit (11, 17) is arranged such that at least a portion (19) of the air from the air inlet (9) follows a path that passes out from a wall of the display cabinet (1) through the at least one shelf (3), and back through said at least one shelf (3) to the wall of the display cabinet (1), before being passed to the air outlet (7).
MERCHANDISE INVENTORY DATA COLLECTION FOR SHELF SYSTEMS USING LIGHT SENSORS
Disclosed is a system for real-time measurement of inventory on shelves. The system uses light sensors placed in association with the inventory and the shelves to measure in real-time the removal/replacement of inventory from the shelves. When inventory is on the shelves, less light reaches the light sensors. As inventory is removed from shelves, the light sensors receive more light. The difference in light received generates as signal that can be measured, thereby allowing for determining inventory levels on each shelf. The system may be retro-fitted to existing shelving systems, thereby avoiding the cost of purchasing new shelving systems. The system can work on any shelving system, including gravity-feed roller shelf (GRS), flat shelves, and spring loaded pusher shelves, and is unaffected by usual temperatures found in retail establishments and can thus work in both refrigerated and unrefrigerated systems. Also disclosed are related methods.
OPEN DISPLAY REFRIGERATORS
The present invention provides an open display refrigerator comprising: a refrigerated storage space, air in the refrigerated storage space being separated from air exterior to the open display refrigerator by an air curtain established by a fan which blows air towards an air outlet and which recovers air in the air curtain via an air inlet for recirculation to the air outlet; a wall bounding at least a part of the duct and the refrigerated storage space, the wall comprising one or more voids such that air in the duct can flow into the refrigerated storage space via the one or more voids; a deflector which, when the refrigerator is in use, interrupts at least a portion of the flow of air from the one or more voids and directs the portion of the flow of air towards the top of the refrigerator.
OPEN DISPLAY REFRIGERATORS
An open display refrigerator comprising: a refrigerated storage space, air in the refrigerated storage space being separated from air exterior to the open display refrigerator by an air curtain established by a fan which blows air towards an air outlet, air in the air curtain being recovered by an air inlet which recirculates the air from the air curtain into an air duct coupled to the air outlet; the at least one shelf having a riser attached to the shelf; and an air curtain guide coupled to the riser, the air curtain guide for guiding the flow of air within the air curtain.
Refrigerator and transparent panel assembly for refrigerator
The present disclosure relates to a refrigerator and a transparent panel assembly for a refrigerator. The transparent panel assembly for a refrigerator comprises: a front panel defining at least a part of a front appearance of a refrigerator door and made of a glass material; a rear panel defining at least a part of a rear appearance of the refrigerator door and made of a transparent material; and an intermediate member connected between the front panel and the rear panel and made of a transparent plastic member, wherein the intermediate member comprises: an edge portion having both ends connected to a screening area formed at peripheries of the front panel and the rear panel; and a partition portion formed to cross an inner surface of the edge portion to partition a gap between the front panel and the rear panel to thereby form a sealed insulation layer.
Damper device set and cooling and/or freezing showcase
A damper device set is provided which can mount a damper device on a door that is thin and has a constraint on the mounting position. A first fastening member is used to fix a mounting plate to a door. A second fastening member placed at a position different from the first fastening member in a thickness direction of the door is used to fix, to the mounting plate, a damper device including a case and a linear damper housed in the case. At least part of the linear damper overlaps at least part of the first fastening member in plan view of the door.
