MULTI-FUNCTIONAL DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

A multi-functional display assembly includes a base tray secured to a display shelf and having a front, a back, a right side, a left side, a bottom, an open top and a height. At least one product plate assembly is positioned within the base tray and has a recess for holding a sample product. A transparent cover includes a height that is greater than the height of the base tray and greater than a height of the sample product. The transparent cover is placed over and around the base tray and is secured to the base tray and the at least one product plate assembly when the multi-functional display assembly is in a secured display configuration and is removed from around the base tray when the multi-functional display assembly is in an unsecured display configuration.

A thickness (D1) of the fastening element (2) corresponds to a thickness (D2) of the glass panel element (1). A fastening element (2) is arranged on each facing side of the glass panel element (1) and adhesively connected with said glass panel element (1). The profiled edge strip (3) and the glass panel element (1) close in a flush manner. The fastening element (2) is made of aluminium. The invention also relates to a glass showcase comprising at least one glass panel element (1) according to the invention.

A showcase is described. The showcase has at least a vertical side wall with an inner face and an outer face, and at least a horizontal upper wall, with a lower face and an upper face. The side and upper walls are both made of a transparent material and are fixedly fastened to one another at respective edges; the edges of the side and upper walls are shaped so as to comprise respective contact bands facing one another and glued to one another. The contact bands have two horizontal contact bands, one on the edge of the side wall, the other on the edge of the upper wall, and extending between an inner bound and an outer bound, wherein the outer bound is internal with respect to the outer face of the side wall. The upper wall rests horizontally on the side wall and the weight of the upper wall weighs directly on the side wall, without stressing the adhesive with which they are glued, ensuring the safety of the showcase; furthermore, the junction line between the walls is not visible on the side wall, since the outer bound of the contact bands does not reach the outer face of the side wall.
