TWO-FLUID DEVICE FOR ELECTROEROSION
Electroerosion devices and methods for performing electroerosion machining are disclosed. The electroerosion devices may perform simultaneous electrical discharge machining and pulsed electrochemical machining (S-ED/PEC) through electrode assembly design and the use of two different working fluids.

An electrode applied in electro-machining processes, where the electrode includes a main body portion and at least one built-in internal flushing passage for introducing a flushing liquid to a volume between the electrode and a workpiece to be machined. The electrode is made by an additive fabrication process that enables specialized flushing for enhancing waste material evacuation and incorporate special material properties like zones of high electrical conductivity and thermal resistance. The fabrication process produces materials and geometries that could not otherwise be made using conventional processing.

Electrode for an electro-erosion process, includes a shaft, a body coupled to the shaft, a plurality of machining-inserts, an insulated layer, and a flushing cover disposed on the body and coupled to the shaft. The shaft includes a channel, a plurality of first openings and second openings, each opening connected to the channel. The body includes a plurality of main-flushing channels, where each channel is connected to a corresponding first opening. The plurality of machining-inserts is spaced apart from each other along a circumferential direction and detachably coupled to a peripheral end portion of the body. Each machining-insert includes at least one third opening connected to a corresponding main-flushing channel. The insulated layer is disposed on top and bottom surfaces of the body. The flushing cover includes a plurality of side-flushing channels and a plurality of fourth openings, where each channel is connected to a corresponding second opening.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECYCLING METALS FROM INDUSTRIAL WASTE
A system and method for recycling metals from industrial waste using an electrodepositing technique. The method includes the steps of collecting the industrial waste, transporting, processing and digesting the waste in a solvent or acidic solution and then electrodepositing out the desired metals. Other processing steps may be used to prepare the industrial waste for electrodeposition and the process may be repeated on the digest solution, to obtain multiple metals.

A method and a device for detection of metal and non-metal particle concentration of an electrical discharge machining liquid are disclosed. The method comprises steps of: (A) filling a tank with the electrical discharge machining liquid, wherein the tank comprises a tank wall, a first conductor, and a second conductor; (B) measuring a voltage between the first conductor and the second conductor by an electronic device, wherein the electronic device electrically connects to the first conductor and the second conductor, and the electronic device comprises a capacitance detection circuit; and (C) calculating a particle concentration or an equivalent dielectric constant of the electrical discharge machining liquid on the basis of the measured voltage.

A method and a device for detection of metal and non-metal particle concentration of an electrical discharge machining liquid are disclosed. The method comprises steps of: (A) filling a tank with the electrical discharge machining liquid, wherein the tank comprises a tank wall, a first conductor, and a second conductor; (B) measuring a voltage between the first conductor and the second conductor by an electronic device, wherein the electronic device electrically connects to the first conductor and the second conductor, and the electronic device comprises a capacitance detection circuit; and (C) calculating a particle concentration or an equivalent dielectric constant of the electrical discharge machining liquid on the basis of the measured voltage.

A wire electrode storage device for a wire electrical discharge machine is provided with a used wire electrode storage box configured to recover a used wire electrode and a dielectric fluid suction unit into which a fluid is poured to produce a negative pressure based on a Venturi effect so that a dielectric fluid accumulated in the storage box can be drawn in through an outlet of the storage box.

A wire electrical discharge machine includes: a supporting member for relatively moving a wire electrode relative to a measurement target; servomotors for moving the supporting member; a setting changer for changing the setting of a directive speed; and a motor controller that controls the servomotors in performing move-and-contact detection for detecting contact between the wire electrode and the measurement target by moving the two relative to each other, so that the wire electrode is moved relative to the measurement target based on the directive speed changed and specified by the setting changer.

A wire electrical discharge machine includes: a supporting member for relatively moving a wire electrode relative to a measurement target; servomotors for moving the supporting member; a setting changer for changing the setting of a directive speed; and a motor controller that controls the servomotors in performing move-and-contact detection for detecting contact between the wire electrode and the measurement target by moving the two relative to each other, so that the wire electrode is moved relative to the measurement target based on the directive speed changed and specified by the setting changer.

A dielectric working fluid processor for processing dielectric working fluid used in a wire electrical discharge machine includes: a dirty liquid tank for storing dielectric working fluid containing machining swarf; a filter for removing machining swarf from the dielectric working fluid in the dirty liquid tank; a clean liquid tank for storing the dielectric working fluid from which the machining swarf has been removed by the filter; a pump for supplying dielectric working fluid from the dirty liquid tank to the filter; an inverter for controlling electric power to be supplied to the pump; a pump controller for controlling the rotation speed of the pump by varying the frequency of electric power supplied from the inverter to the pump; and a feed pressure obtainer for obtaining the feed pressure of the dielectric working fluid supplied from the pump to the filter, based on the frequency of the electric power.
