Methods and apparatus are disclosed relating to mixing fluids in welding-type equipment. In some examples, a welding-type power supply (and/or wire feeder) may include multiple fluid paths through which to provide fluid from multiple fluid reservoirs to multiple welding-type tools. The power supply may be configured to automatically control fluid flow rates through the fluid paths via proportional valves. Further, the welding-type power supply may be configured to allow and/or prohibit mixing of fluids from different flow paths via control of various valves.

ROBOTIC WELDING SYSTEM

A robotic welding system comprises a supporting arm for attaching to a repositionable support structure, the supporting arm comprising a first mounting portion connectable to the repositionable support structure, and a second mounting portion rotatably coupled to the first mounting portion. A yaw rotary actuator rotates the second mounting portion about a yaw axis. A welding arm comprises a third mounting portion rotatably coupled to the second mounting portion of the supporting arm. A pitch rotary actuator rotates the third mounting portion about a pitch axis generally perpendicular to the yaw axis. A roll rotary actuator rotates a torch holder shaft about a roll axis generally perpendicular to the pitch axis. The shaft has a torch mounting portion for mounting a welding torch at an end thereof. A controller is operably coupled to the actuators to cause the welding torch to execute a welding pattern.

The invention relates to a welding device for welding at least one workpiece, comprising: a welding torch, which is designed to create an electric arc for welding the at least one workpiece; and a nozzle apparatus, which is arranged on the welding torch and has a cooling nozzle array, which has at least one row of cooling nozzles, wherein for cooling the workpiece, the respective cooling nozzle can be supplied with an adjustable volume flow of a cooling medium.

Wire spool gun

A spool gun having a very unique look, due to its arrangement of features. The spool gun has its wire spool compartment located below the handle and the user's hand, when the user is gripping the spool gun in an operational position. Operably connected to the wire spool compartment is wire spool brake configured to engage with the wire wraps. The brake can have a lock and/or a wire spool life indicator. The wire spool compartment has a cover that is non-threadedly engaged. The feed rate of the wire from the wire spool compartment can be adjusted by a control device, such as a knob, located proximate the user's hand, when the user is gripping the spool gun in the operational position.

Helium flow stop assembly (HFSA) for TIG welding process of nuclear fuel rods

An assembly configured to seal an end plug on a plugged end of a fuel tube is disclosed. The assembly includes a seal weld chamber assembly and a helium flow stop assembly (HFSA) removably coupled to the seal weld chamber assembly. The seal weld chamber assembly includes a welding chamber and a plunger fluidically coupled to the welding chamber. A helium source is configured to supply helium to the welding chamber. The end plug of the fuel tube is positionable within the welding chamber via the plunger. The HFSA is configured to prevent helium from escaping the welding chamber through the plunger.
