METHOD FOR IMPROVING FATIGUE STRENGTH
Provided is a novel method for improving fatigue strength, which is applicable to any small portion that is covered with another member. A method for improving fatigue strength according to the present invention includes: disposing an aid (3, 15) to be opposed to an processing object (2A, 2B, 6) on which a fatigue strength improving process is performed, the aid being configured to assist the improving process; and generating sparks between the aid (3, 15) and the processing object (2A, 2B, 6).
WELDING METHOD AND ELECTRICAL DEVICE
An object of the present invention is to suppress blow holes in welding using tough pitch copper.
A welding method includes a first step of heating at least a portion of a first conductor and a second conductor containing copper, and a second step of adding a filler metal containing phosphorus while melting the first conductor and the second conductor so that a phosphorus content rate in a welded portion at which an end portion of the first conductor and an end portion of the second conductor are connected to each other is equal to or more than 0.1%.

WELD FORCED CRACK AND BRAZE REPAIR FOR SUPERALLOYS
A method of repairing an oxidized defect in a superalloy article includes removing substantially all of the oxidized defect to form a cleaned out portion of the superalloy article; filling a portion of the cleaned out portion with a weld by fusion welding; cracking the weld; and filling the cracked weld and a remaining portion of the cleaned out portion with a braze material.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IN SITU REPAIR OF GAS TURBINE ENGINES
The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for preventing damage to one or more components of the gas turbine engine during a repair procedure. The method includes locating one or more gaps of one or more components of the gas turbine engine in the vicinity of the defect. Further, the method includes filling the one or more gaps with a filler material so as to prevent arcing over the gaps during repair. Thus, the method also includes applying an electrical discharge to the defect.

METHODS AND APPARATUS TO SWITCH A WELD POWER OUTPUT
Methods and apparatus to communicate via a weld cable are disclosed. An example welding accessory includes a first port to receive input power via a first weld cable, a power converter to convert the input power to output power, a second port to output the input power via a second weld cable, and one or more output switches to selectively divert the input power from the power converter to the second port.

JOINING STRUCTURE
Second member 20 includes a material that is difficult to weld to first member 10. In first member 10, recess 11 is formed by press molding such that a lower surface of first member 10 opposite to second member 20 protrudes.
Third member 30 is arc-welded toward at least a bottom of recess 11 via penetrating part 21 of second member 20. Second member 20 is compressed by flange 31 and first member 10 by solidification contraction of third member 30, and second member 20 is therefore fixed between flange 31 of third member 30 and first member 10.
