Controlling plasma arc processing systems and related systems and devices
In some aspects, autonomous motion devices configured to operably connect to a plasma torch of a plasma cutting system can include: a body to support a power supply of the plasma cutting system and move relative to a workpiece; a torch holder connected to the body and configured to position a plasma arc torch tip of the plasma torch relative to a region of the workpiece to be processed; a drive system to translate the body supporting the power supply and torch autonomously relative to a surface of the workpiece during a plasma processing operation; and a processor in communication with the drive system and configured to communicate with the power supply, the processor being configured to control the translation of the body relative to the workpiece in accordance with the plasma processing operation.
Device for providing a laminar flow of shielding gas in a welding device
The present disclosure is directed to a component of a welding device that is configured to produce a shielding gas having a developed flow profile, which provides for a shielding gas column having a laminar profile over a greater length than has been achieved through conventional means. The component utilizes one or more flow restrictors, which are configured to provide higher resistance to the flow of shielding gas at increasing distances from the center of a shielding gas flow channel. By providing increasing resistance toward the periphery of the channel, a developed shielding gas flow profile may be achieved over a relatively short flow length.

Method of relieving stress from face plate welds of a golf club head
The present disclosure relates to methods for forming a golf club head assembly comprising a golf club head body and a high strength faceplate. The high strength faceplate can be heat treated. After welding the faceplate to the club head body, vibrational waves can be used to relive stress in the weld heat affected zones of the golf club body and faceplate.
PLASMA PROCESSING MACHINE
A practical plasma processing machine is provided, in which attachment mechanism is provided for attaching plasma head to attachment section of a head moving device that moves the plasma head. Since the plasma head can be attached or detached, for example, it is easy to exchange it with a different type of plasma head, remove for maintenance, attaching after maintenance, or the like.

High temperature isolating insert for plasma cutting torch
Embodiments of arc plasma cutting torches are disclosed. In one embodiment, a plasma cutting torch includes an insert component located substantially between a cathode body and an insulator body. The insert component is able to withstand high temperatures and can be made of a metal material or a non-metal material. The insert component can be permanent within the torch or can be replaceable, in accordance with various embodiments.
DEVICE FOR THE ORBITAL PROCESSING OF NON-ROTATING JOINTS AND PIPE ENDS
The present device is configured for mounting on and movement around the outside surface of a pipe to be processed, and comprises a clamping device and a flexible composite carriage consisting of at least two pivotally connected component parts capable of pivoting about a pin of a hinged connection lying parallel to the axis of the pipe to be processed, wherein each part comprises a group of at least two coaxial supporting rollers, the axis of which is situated at a distance from the hinged connection that is less than or equal to of the distance between the hinges of the component part and is parallel to the axis of the pipe to be processed. The component parts are connected in succession in such a way that each part bears on two groups of supporting rollers, one of which is mounted on the component part, and the other of which is mounted on an adjacent component part. One of the component parts of the carriage is mounted such as to rest on an additional group of supporting rollers. At least one component part is provided with a supporting and driving roller and with a driving mechanism having a source of torque, and at least one component part has at least one processing device.
TORCH INDICATOR APPARATUS AND METHODS
According to one embodiment, a welding or plasma cutting system is provided that includes a torch having a torch body. Located on or in the torch body are one or more status indicators that provide, for example, a status of a process parameter (e.g. current data, pressure data, etc.) and/or of an operating mode of the torches. Control circuitry coupled to the one or more status indicators is configured to activate the one or more status indicators prior to a carrying out of a welding or plasma cutting operation through use of the torch and to deactivate the one or more status indicators during a time when the welding or plasma cutting operation is being carried out by the torch. An associated method of operating the torch includes activating the one or more status indicators prior to a carrying out of a welding or plasma cutting operation by use of the torch, and during a time when the welding or plasma cutting operation is being carried out by use of the torch, deactivating the one or more status indicators.
Autogenous submerged liquid diffusion welding of titanium
In some embodiments, a method may bond titanium to an intermediate alloy. The method may include layering a portion of an intermediate alloy onto a portion of titanium. The method may include focusing a controlled heat source on a spot of the intermediate alloy to form a weld pool in the intermediate alloy at the spot. The method may include superheating the intermediate alloy in the weld pool above the melting point of the intermediate alloy but below the melting point of titanium such that liquid intermediate alloy contacts the surface of the portion of the titanium heating the portion of the titanium. The method may include diffusing the portions of titanium and intermediate alloy together such that upon the intermediate alloy cooling below the melting point of the intermediate alloy the portions of the intermediate alloy and titanium are bonded forming a weldment.
