APPARATUS FOR WORKPIECE PROCESSING HAVING INTEGRATED ENERGY GUIDE AND MEDIA STORAGE AND RELATED SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system includes a machine tool having a clamp. The system also includes a processing head configured to be temporarily held by the clamp of the machine tool. The processing head is also configured to deposit one or more media onto a workpiece. The processing head includes a guide configured to direct energy from an energy source onto the workpiece and/or the one or more media. The processing head also includes one or more supplies including one or more reservoirs within the processing head. The one or more reservoirs are configured to receive the one or more media, store the one or more media as the processing head is moved from one location to another location, and provide the one or more media.
WIRE MANUFACTURED BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING METHODS
Systems and methods for the manufacture of a solid wire using additive manufacturing techniques are disclosed. In one embodiment, a fine powdery material is sintered or melted or soldered or metallurgically bonded onto a metal strip substrate in a compacted solid form or a near-net shape (e.g., a near-net solid wire shape) before being turned into a final product through forming or drawing dies.

Additive Manufacturing System And Method
An additive manufacturing system including a two-dimensional energy patterning system for imaging a powder bed is disclosed. Improved structure formation, part creation and manipulation, use of multiple additive manufacturing systems, and high throughput manufacturing methods suitable for automated or semi-automated factories are also disclosed.
UNPACKING DEVICE ALLOWING RESIDUAL RAW MATERIAL POWDER REMOVAL
An unpacking device for use in an apparatus for producing a three-dimensional work piece by irradiating layers of a raw material powder with electromagnetic or particle radiation, the unpacking device comprises a holding device which is configured to hold a building chamber arrangement. The building chamber arrangement comprises a building chamber accommodating a carrier, wherein the carrier is configured to receive a three-dimensional work piece produced from a raw material powder by an additive layering process. An engagement unit of the unpacking device is configured to engage with the carrier of the building chamber arrangement. A moving mechanism is configured to cause a relative movement between the building chamber and the engagement unit with the carrier engaged therewith so as to allow a separation of the carrier with a three-dimensional work piece received thereon from the building chamber. Finally, the unpacking device comprises a raw material powder removal mechanism which is configured to cause at least one of a vibration and a rotation of the engagement unit with the carrier engaged therewith so as to remove residual raw material powder from the three-dimensional work piece received on the carrier.
LEVELING SLIDER EXCHANGE ARRANGEMENT FOR USE IN AN APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL WORK PIECES
A leveling slider exchange arrangement for use in an apparatus for manufacturing three-dimensional work pieces by irradiating powder layers with electromagnetic radiation or particle radiation, the leveling slider exchange arrangement comprises a powder application device adapted to apply a raw material powder onto a carrier and a leveling slider adapted to level the raw material powder applied onto the carrier by means of the powder application device. An attachment mechanism is adapted to releasably attach the leveling slider in a leveling slider attachment position in the powder application device. A storage chamber is adapted to store at least one exchange leveling slider, the storage chamber being connected to a connecting channel adapted to connect the storage chamber to the leveling slider attachment position in the powder application device. A leveling slider exchange mechanism is adapted to withdraw the exchange leveling slider from the storage chamber, to move the exchange leveling slider to the leveling slider attachment position in the powder application device via the connecting channel and to bring the exchange leveling slider into engagement with the attachment mechanism.
