CLAD 2XXX-SERIES AEROSPACE PRODUCT
Provided herein is a rolled composite aerospace product comprising a 2XXX-series core layer and an Al—Cu alloy clad layer coupled to at least one surface of the 2XXX-series core layer, wherein the Al—Cu alloy is an aluminium alloy comprising about 0.06% to 2.8% Cu, and preferably about 0.10% to 1.8% Cu. The rolled composite aerospace product is ideally suitable for structural aerospace parts. Also described herein is a method of manufacturing a rolled composite aerospace product.
Bi-material strip and a method of bonding strips of different materials together
A continuous hot bonding method for producing a bi-material strip with a strong bond therebetween is provided. The method comprises sanding a first strip formed of steel; and applying a layer of first particles, typically formed of copper, to the sanded first strip. The method next includes heating the first strip and the layer of the first particles, followed by pressing a second strip formed of an aluminum alloy onto the heated layer of the first particles. The aluminum alloy of the second strip includes tin particles, and the heat causes the second particles to liquefy and dissolve into the melted first particles. The first particles and the second particles bond together to form bond enhancing metal particles, which typically comprise bronze.

Method for manufacturing aluminum alloy cladding material
A first layer (11) and a second layer (12) are layered with an intermediate layer (21) therebetween. A clad material (1) is manufactured by heating and bonding the layered body at a temperature, at which the ratio of the mass of a liquid phase generated from the intermediate layer (21) is 5% or more and 35% or less, and by rolling the body. The clad material may comprise the clad material (1) which is a two-layer material formed of the first layer (11) and the second layer (12) as described above, as well as a third layer, a fourth layer, a fifth layer, and the like.

MULTI-LAYER FLAT STEEL PRODUCT AND COMPONENT PRODUCED THEREFROM
A multilayer flat steel product may include a multitude of mutually bonded steel alloy layers. A steel of a first steel alloy may be provided in at least one of the steel alloy layers, and a steel of a second steel alloy different than the first steel alloy may be provided in at least one of the other steel alloy layers. The steel of the first steel alloy may have high strength, and the steel of the second steel alloy may have lower strength and lower carbon content. To enable function-optimized modelling of local material properties in all directions, at least one steel of the first steel alloy and at least one steel of the second steel alloy may be present at least within one layer of the flat steel product. Further, a component, such as for a motor vehicle body, may be comprised of a corresponding flat steel product.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Disclosed is a method for producing a composite material, wherein two or more composite components are arranged with respect to one another by casting to form a composite, so as to create a contact region essentially without a material bond between the composite components, wherein the composite components are thereafter materially bonded to one another in the contact region by means of a hot-rolling process.
