Methods and apparatus for detecting leakage current
An example apparatus to monitor a welding-type system includes: a test signal generator configured to output a test signal to a monitored circuit; and a lock-in amplifier configured to: receive a reference signal based on the test signal; measure a leakage current in the monitored circuit based on the reference signal; and generate an output signal representative of the leakage current.
METHOD AND APPARATUS TO MONITOR A FIRE STATE ASSOCIATED WITH A WELDING EVENT
The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for detection of fire states in the presence of welding activities. In some examples, the welding detection system may algorithmically calculate a risk of a fire state developing. In some embodiments, the welding fire detection and prevention system may communicate warning states to users, supervisors, equipment and/or building monitoring systems.
Tool holders for robotic systems having collision detection
An example robotic tool holder includes an actuator that is disposed within a housing and configured to hold a tool. The housing and the actuator are in contact via dowels to limit movement of the actuator toward a distal end of the housing. Ones of the dowels that are in contact are in line contact and the ones of the dowels that are in contact are in a triangular geometry. The pressure plate is in line contact with the actuator within the housing around a circumference of the pressure plate. The springs are in contact with the pressure plate to bias the actuator toward a proximal end of the housing via the pressure plate. The springs are in contact with the mounting plate opposite the pressure plate. The sensor switch detects a shock force on the actuator and outputs a signal in response to the shock force.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION AND FILLING OF CONTAINERS DESIGNED TO CONTAIN FOOD
An apparatus for the production and filling of food containers includes at least one device for forming a sheet made of polymeric material to provide accommodation receptacles which have at least one access opening, at least one filling unit adapted to fill, through the access opening, the accommodation receptacles with at least one type of food, and at least one sealing unit to seal the access opening with a closure film. The apparatus includes at least one device for removing portions, and at least one laser emitter for providing a weakening portion at a respective connecting edge between adjacent accommodation receptacles. The polymeric material is chosen from: polyethylene terephthalate and polypropylene and copolymers thereof.
The apparatus includes a first section which accommodates the filling unit, the sealing unit, and the device for removing portions, and a second section, separate from the first section, which accommodates the laser emitter.
Methods and apparatus to detect stray welding-type current
An example welding-type power supply includes: power conversion circuitry configured to convert input power to welding-type power, and to output the welding-type power via a welding-type circuit; a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of at least one component of the welding-type power supply; and stray current detection circuitry configured to detect stray welding-type current based on the measured temperature of the at least one component.
WELDING INFORMATION PROVIDING APPARATUS
A welding information providing apparatus is disclosed. The welding information providing apparatus includes a main body worn by a user, a camera unit provided to an outside of the main body and including at least one camera obtaining welding image frames for a welding process, an image generating unit provided to inside the main body and generating a welding image based on the welding image frames, a display unit displaying the welding image provided from the image generating unit toward a user, a processor for controlling the image generating unit to generate the welding image based on the welding image frames, and a power supply unit provided to the main body and supplying a driving power to at least any one of the camera unit, the image generating unit and the processor.
Welding for electrical tools
A method includes removing a section of electrical insulation proximate an end of a tubing-encased conductor (TEC) to form an end of electrical insulation that is axially recessed relative to the end of the TEC. The method includes welding an end member to an outer surface of the outer tube at a weld joint that is axially between the end of the TEC and the end of the electrical insulation to protect the electrical insulation from heating damage from welding. The method includes replacing the section of electrical insulation proximate the end of the TEC by inserting a spacer into the end of the TEC between the outer tube and the electrical conductor after welding the end member to the outer surface of the TEC. A tool can be electrically connected to the electrical conductor and the tool can be welded to the end member.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR USE WITH HOT WORK ENCLOSURES OR HABITATS
A control system for use with a hot work enclosure is illustrated and described herein. The control system comprises an air supply shutdown controller, at least one air supply gas detector, and an air supply shutdown module. The air supply shutdown controller is configured to receive an air supply gas detection signal from the at least one air supply gas detector in response to the presence of gas in air to be provided to the enclosure by an air supply system. The air supply shutdown controller is configured to be responsive to the air supply gas detection signal to provide an air supply shutdown signal to the air supply shutdown module to stop the supply of air to the hot work enclosure by the air supply system. The air supply shutdown module is beatable at a first position in the air supply system, and the at least one air supply gas detector is beatable at a second position in the air supply system, such that, in use, the gas-contaminated air detected by the at least one gas detector is prevented from passing through the air supply shutdown module.
