The central computer system being configured to divide the map of the shopping space into a plurality of sections, assign a unique section identifier to each of the plurality of sections in the shopping space, associate a blocked tag with each section inaccessible to the plurality of motorized transport units, associate an accessible tag with each section accessible by at least one of the plurality of motorized transport units, for each section having an accessible tag, allow an access restriction setting to be configured, and provide navigation instructions to the plurality of motorized transport units based on access restriction settings of each section of the shopping space stored.
Overriding control of motorized transport unit systems, devices and methods
Some embodiments include apparatuses providing control over movement of motorized transport units at a retail facility, comprising: multiple self-propelled motorized transport units; a wireless communication network; and a central computer system, wherein the central computer system comprises: a transceiver; a control circuit; and a memory storing computer instructions that when executed cause the control circuit to: receive an override command, from a worker associated with the retail facility, to cause a first motorized transport unit of the multiple motorized transport units to implement one or more actions; confirm a valid authorization of the worker to override one or more operating limits of the first motorized transport unit; and override the one or more operating limits and communicate one or more instructions to the first motorized transport unit configured to cause the first motorized transport unit to implement the one or more actions in accordance with the override command.
INTELLIGENT CABINET WITH RF SHIELD
An intelligent cabinet (1) comprises a housing (2) with an internal cavity (2a) and a separate compartment (2b). At least one RFID reader antenna (32) is arranged within the internal cavity (2a), and a cooling and/or ventilation arrangement (4) is arranged in the separate compartment (2b), outside the internal cavity (2a). At least one passage (5) is provided to allow air to circulate between the internal cavity (2a) and the cooling and/or ventilation arrangement (4). The internal cavity (2a) and the compartment (2b) are separated by an internal wall (6) within the housing (2), wherein the passage (5) comprises a plurality of openings (7a, 7b) through the internal wall (6). The openings are arranged directly in the internal wall (6) or in a separate part (8a, 8b) being connected to the internal wall. Each of the openings (7a, 7b) have a maximal extension in the range of 1-20 mm, and preferably 5-15 mm, and at least the surface of the internal wall (6) and/or the separate part (8a, 8b) comprises a conductive material. Hereby, the openings allow a flow of air through the openings, and at the same time provides attenuation or blocking of RF signals.
COUNTER PAD FOR JEWELRY
There is provided a counter pad, comprising: a non-abrasive and flexible surface including: a work surface designed for placement of jewelry, and a data communication interface configured for communicating with at least one screen for presenting the data associated with an identifier of the jewelry, an RFID antenna(s) positioned within the non-abrasive and flexible surface and below the work surface, the RFID antenna(s) configured to transmit and/or receive signals from a RFID tag(s) located on the jewelry when the jewelry is located on the work surface, an RFID reader(s) configured to process the signals to determine the identifier of the jewelry, a wireless network interface(s) configured to communicate with a wireless network, a processor(s) executing a code for accessing a server over the wireless network for obtaining data associated with the identifier, a memory for storing the code and the data, and a battery.
Intelligent cabinet
An intelligent cabinet for dispensing products contained therein that includes an outer wall, an inner liner defining an enclosed interior space adapted for housing an inventory of items, an intermediate layer provided between the outer wall and inner liner, and having a plurality of slots, and a system of modular cassettes including a plurality of cassettes where each cassette is adapted to be fittingly received in and removable from a corresponding slot from the plurality of slots, and a plurality of RFID antennas, where each RFID antennas is separately housed in one of the cassettes from among the plurality of cassettes.
Modular humanless shopping structure
A modular shopping structure is disclosed. The modular shopping structure may include a compartment configured to store a plurality of items, and a plurality of wheels disposed at a compartment bottom portion. The modular shopping structure may further include a compartment docking unit configured to move the compartment between a compartment elevated position and a compartment docking position. The modular shopping structure may further include a sensor and a processor. The sensor may be configured to detect a user purchase action associated with an item, when the compartment is in the compartment docking position. The processor may obtain information associated with the item when the sensor detects the user purchase action, determine a cost associated with the item based on the information, and transmit a command signal to a third party payment module to deduct the cost from an account associated with a user.
