CAP TIP ASSEMBLY FOR SPOT WELDING
A cap tip assembly for spot welding is disclosed. The cap tip assembly for spot welding is configured to spot-weld a first base material in which a flange is formed and a second base material overlapping the flange in a vertical direction. The cap tip assembly for spot welding includes a tip body provided in a shape of a rectangular block in which a round-shaped welding section is formed on a front side of a top surface, and a collet member coupled to the tip body to guide a conductive tape to the welding section.
LASER WELDING METHOD AND LASER WELDING DEVICE
A laser welding method is a method for joining a first member in the shape of a plate and made of a metal material to a second member made of a metal material by laser welding. The laser welding method includes an arranging step and a laser beam irradiation step. In the arranging step, the second member is brought into contact with or brought close to one main surface of the first member. In the laser beam irradiation step, the other main surface of the first member is irradiated with the laser beam, the other surface being a main surface opposite to the one main surface of the first member. In the laser beam irradiation step, the first member and the second member are melted to form a weld portion having a substantially circular or oval shape in a plan view and to form a fillet on a joined portion between the first member and the second member.
COMPRESSOR WHEEL ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A COMPRESSOR WHEEL ARRANGEMENT
A compressor wheel arrangement for an electrically powered turbocharger, which can be connected with a rotor shaft of the turbocharger, having a compressor wheel made of a first metallic material, a shaft made of a second metallic material, which is tightly connected with the compressor wheel, at least one permanent magnet, which is non-rotatably arranged on the section of the shaft, in a ring-shaped area around a section of the shaft that extends behind the compressor wheel, between a casing and the shaft.
DAMPER ASSEMBLY WITH ACCUMULATOR
A method for assembling a damper assembly includes securing a damper interface to an external surface of a pressure tube. The method includes securing an accumulator interface to an external surface of an accumulator tube. The method includes, after the damper interface is secured to the pressure tube and the accumulator interface is secured to the accumulator tube, securing the pressure tube to the accumulator tube by press fitting the damper interface to the accumulator interface.
MULTI-TUBULAR BEAM WITH FORGED WELD SEAM
A reinforcement beam for an automotive component is continuously formed with a metal sheet that is roll formed to have at least one tubular portion that extends along a length of the reinforcement beam. A solid state forge weld is formed between an edge of the metal sheet and an intermediate portion of the metal sheet to close a seam that extends along the tubular portion of the reinforcement beam. Prior to forming the solid state forge weld, select portions of the metal sheet are heated to a desirable welding temperature with a high frequency current delivered by electrical contacts to opposing sides of the weld seam. The desired welding temperature may burn off a galvanized coating on the metal sheet at the select portions prior to forming the solid state forge weld that is generally void of zinc inclusions.
Method of manufacture of spot welded joint, steel sheet for spot welding use, and steel sheet member for spot welding use
Art for spot welding able to suppress penetration of hydrogen, one of the factors behind delayed fracture, at the time of spot welding, that is, a spot welding method in which at one or both of the surfaces of the steel sheets becoming the facing surfaces of the overlaid steel sheets, a location where the steel sheets contact each other to form a contact part at the time of initial squeezing of the spot welding is worked in advance to form a plurality of lines running through the contact part and connected to the outside of the contact part and the spot welding is performed at the location of the contact part and also a steel sheet in which the plurality of lines are formed in advance at the location becoming a contact part when steel sheets contact each other at the time of initial squeezing in the spot welding.
Laser welding method
A laser welding method is provided to ensure a sufficient joining strength between metal plates by increasing the area of a joining region while preventing “burn through” of a molten metal. In the laser welding method by applying a laser beam to a surface of multiple metal plates superimposed on each other, a scanning locus with the laser beam is sequentially shifted from an inner circular scanning locus to an outer one in a predetermined joining region on the metal plates, and an emission interval is provided to temporally stop the metal-plate-surface irradiation when the scanning locus is shifted. Thus, every time the scanning locus is shifted, the molten metal due to the previous irradiation is cooled and increases its viscosity. Accordingly, the “burn through” is prevented regardless of increase of the area of the joining region, which results in a sufficient joining strength between the metal plates.
Iron-based sintered body, method for laser-marking the same, and method for manufacturing the same
A method for laser-marking an iron-based sintered body includes a first step of forming with a first laser beam a plurality of dotted recesses with a predetermined depth in an identification mark area of a surface of an iron-based sintered body, and a second step of flattening with a second laser beam the surface within the identification mark area other than the dotted recesses. The first laser beam has an irradiation energy per unit area greater than an irradiation energy per unit area of the second laser beam.
Manufacturing method for cylinder device
A manufacturing method for a cylinder device which includes a cylinder, a piston, a piston rod, a seal member, and an installing member, the method includes: a welding step for fixing the installing member to the cylinder through electrical resistance welding; a demagnetizing step for demagnetizing at least an opening portion of the cylinder; and an assembling step for assembling the piston, the piston rod, and the seal member in the cylinder through the opening portion.
Multi-tubular beam for a vehicle
A multi-tubular beam for a vehicle, such as a vehicle structure or a bumper reinforcement, includes an elongated beam formed with a metal sheet. The metal sheet has a central section and outer sections extending along a length of the metal sheet. The outer sections are disposed in opposing directions from the outer edges of the central section to provide adjacent first and second tubular portions. The central section forms a common center wall between the adjacent first and second tubular portions. A first edge portion of the metal sheet is disposed along and in parallel alignment with the center wall. The first edge portion is attached to the center wall at a first weld joint to form the first tubular portion. The first weld joint includes a weld material that extends through a thickness of the center wall and into a thickness of the first edge portion.
