CONNECTION BETWEEN FORKS AND HANGERS ON FORKS
A method for welding at least one hanger to a fork. A friction welding process may be used to create a weld between the hanger and the fork, after which the heat-affected zone (HAZ) may be allowed to cool. Preferably the cooling occurs until martensite is formed, after which a post-tempering current is applied to the HAZ.
SUPER CHARGER COMPONENTS
A pulley assembly having a body, a shaft mount and a plurality of bolts is disclosed. The body is aligned to the shaft mount by providing a tight tolerance between a shoulder portion of the bolt and a neck portion of a counter sunk hole formed in the body. Additionally, an outer surface of the body may have a pattern of friction lines or patches formed by fusing particulate matter to the outer surface with heat generated by a laser beam.
Method of creating a burst groove by laser scoring
A method of creating a burst groove in a burst member is provided. The burst groove following a path, wherein: the groove is created in a plurality of laser scoring stages which are performed in succession to thereby successively increase the depth of the burst groove during each stage; each laser scoring stage involving laser scoring the burst member along at least a portion of the path. The laser scoring in each stage involves laser-energizing a respective region of the burst member with a respective energization width measured perpendicular to the path. In at least one stage the energization width is smaller than the energization width in the immediately preceding stage.
Interleaving laser ablation
A product includes a substrate, at least one of a conductive layer or a coating layer, and an ablated surface on the substrate. The substrate is at least partially transparent to visible light. The at least one of the conductive layer or the coating layer are disposed over at least a portion of the substrate. The ablated surface includes an interleaved surface profile having a plurality of non-overlapped laser spots and a plurality of overlapped laser spots formed by subjecting the substrate to an interleaving laser ablation process.
Laser deposition process for a self sharpening knife cutting edge
A method for treating a knife cutting edge with a laser deposition (sintering) process using a composition coating such as a diamond powder or a substance above 5 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. The coating providing an abrasion resistant cutting edge and creates a differential hardness on the total cutting edge. The differential hardness extends the cutting ability of the knife through a wear-resistant surface on a treated surface and a faster wear on an untreated surface causing the cutting edge to be self sharpening as the untreated surface wears away.
Solder for Soldering Nickel Based Superalloys
The present invention provides a solder for nickel based superalloy soldering. The solder includes 11 wt % to 13 wt % chromium, 5.0 wt % to 7.0 wt % aluminum, 3.5 wt % to 5.0 wt % molybdenum, 1.5 wt % to 2.5 wt % niobium, 0.4 wt % to 1.0 wt % titanium, 0.03 wt % to 0.07 wt % carbon, 0.05 wt %-0.15 wt % zirconium, 0.001 wt % to 0.1 wt % boron and remainder nickel or other inevitable impurities, thereby reducing occurrence of soldering hot cracking and insufficient weld bead strength in nickel based superalloy raw materials during soldering.
Anchoring assembly for anchoring a liner of a cured lining material, a ferrule suitable for use with the anchoring assembly, an anchoring mounting assembly further comprising a ferrule holder and the use of the anchoring assembly
An anchoring assembly for anchoring a liner of a cured lining material arranged to be applied in liquid form to a metal object provided with the anchoring assembly, the anchoring assembly including an elongated mounting pin and a ferrule provided at a first end thereof, wherein the pin is arranged to be mounted at the first end to the metal object, the anchoring assembly further including a plurality of spaced anchor fins connected to the pin at a second end and extending radially outward relative to the pin, wherein the ferrule includes a radially outwardly extending place holder part arranged to be held by a ferrule holder during mounting of the pin at the first end to the metal object.
Metal matrix compositions and methods for manufacturing same
An additive manufacturing method for making a metal matrix composite component includes melting a powdered mixture with an electron beam. The powdered mixture comprises powdered tungsten carbide in an amount of 45 wt % to 72 wt % of the powdered mixture and a powdered binder in an amount of 28 wt % to 55 wt % of the powdered mixture. The powdered binder comprises boron, silicon, and nickel.
Carbide saw blade and welding method thereof
A carbide saw blade and the welding method of the carbide saw blade includes: S1, heating the carbide tool bit, the saw blade base (the saw blade base's tooth seat part), the welding wire and the welding flux that well-placed; S2, at temperature 760 C.-840 C., spreading the melted welding wire to the gap between the carbide tool bit and the saw blade base by using the wetting action of the welding flux; S3, cooling to obtain a preliminary welding body, when the temperature of the preliminary welding body is lower than 350 C., the preliminary welding body will be processed to first tempering; S4, within 1-3 hours after first tempering, second tempering the preliminary welding body to obtain carbide saw blade; second tempering process is performed in a sealed container, and in this container the temperature of each spatial location is consistent.
Tool holder
A C-shaped tool holder consisting of an integral frame structure that is delimited by an inner and an outer edge, each C-shaped, in which the C-shaped edges are made from and are connected to each other by at least five multiple-vertex frame bodies that are integrated into the frame structure, in particular triangles, quadrilaterals and pentagons, wherein in each case an inner side of the individual multiple-vertex frame bodies is a connecting surface, continuously curving along a circumferential direction, along the sides of the respective multiple-vertex frame body, and the inner and the outer C-shaped edge is each delimited to the outside by a continuously curving lateral surface.
