SPOOLABLE DEVICE, METHOD FOR MAKING A SPOOLABLE DEVICE, AND SYSTEM
A spoolable device including a first communication interface, a second communication interface, a power management module, a functional electrical module, and a junction joining each of the above elements together and creating a shared pressure chamber. A method for making a spoolable device comprising welding a functional electrical module to a first portion of a junction box, welding a first communication interface to the first portion of a junction box, welding a power management module to a second portion of a junction box, welding a second communication interface to the second portion of a junction box, and welding the first portion of a junction box to the second portion of the junction box to form a pressure chamber inside the first and second portions of the junction box.
Coated cutting tool and method for manufacturing the same
A coated cutting tool includes a substrate with a rake side, a clearance side and a cutting edge, and a coating including a first layer and a second layer. The second layer includes an inner layer and an outer layer, wherein the first layer is exposed through an opening in the inner layer and the opening extends over at least a portion of the width of the cutting edge. Thereby, a double layer is provided in critical areas, whereas a single layer is provided in other areas. Preferably, the double oxide layer includes aluminum oxide layers. A method for manufacturing the coated cutting tool is also provided.
METHOD FOR SOLID STATE WELDING
A method of securing an insert in a preselected region of a workpiece. An opening wall is formed in the workpiece with an opening wall surface defining an opening to produce a remainder segment of the workpiece. The opening encompasses or coincides with the preselected region. An insert is provided to fit in the opening. An insert heated portion and a remainder segment heated portion are heated to a hot working temperature, at which they are plastically deformable. While the insert is subjected to an engagement motion, to move the insert relative to the remainder segment, an insert engagement surface of the insert is pressed against the opening wall surface, for plastic deformation of the insert heated portion and of the remainder segment heated portion, creating a metallic bond between the insert and the remainder segment. The insert and the remainder segment are allowed to cool, to bond them together.
METHOD FOR ATTACHING A TUBE TO A WORKPIECE
A method of attaching a tube having a tube wall defining a tube channel therein to a workpiece having a workpiece wall. A workpiece opening defined by a workpiece opening wall surface is formed in the workpiece wall. A tube engagement surface is formed on the tube wall for engagement with the workpiece opening wall surface. A workpiece heated portion in the workpiece, and a tube heated portion in the tube, are heated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere by energized heating elements to a hot working temperature. The tube is subjected to an engagement motion, moving the tube engagement surface relative to the workpiece opening wall surface. While the heated portions are at the hot working temperature, and while the tube is subject to the engagement motion, the tube engagement surface is pressed against the workpiece opening wall surface, for plastic deformation of the heated portions, to create a metallic bond.
RING-SHAPED BAND SAW BLADE MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A manufacturing apparatus of a ring-shaped band saw blade for manufacturing the ring-shaped band saw blade including a tooth tip to which a hard cutting tip is joined. The manufacturing apparatus includes a rotatory moving section that provides rotatory movement of the ring-shaped band saw blade including a body part having a band shape and a tooth part including a plurality of teeth formed on one side part of the body part; a surface polishing section that polishes an inner surface and an outer surface of the body part in the ring-shaped band saw blade in the rotatory movement provided by the rotatory moving section; and an end face polishing section that polishes an end face of the body part on a side opposite to the tooth part in the ring-shaped band saw blade in the rotatory movement provided by the rotatory moving section.
Method of making a processor disk
A method of forming a processor disk for a processor of materials may include providing a disk blank with a central portion and a perimeter portion, with the perimeter portion extending between the central portion and a circumference of the disk blank, the perimeter portion having a perimeter surface; and applying material to the perimeter portion of the disk blank to form a plurality of teeth on at least the perimeter surface of the perimeter portion. A processor disk may include a disk blank with a central portion and a perimeter portion, with the perimeter portion extending between the central portion and a circumference of the disk blank and having a perimeter surface divided into opposite side surfaces by a circumferential edge; and a plurality of teeth formed on the perimeter surface through application of material to the perimeter surface.
Process of manufacturing an injection mould component
An injection mold component for molding the outer surface of a preform neck, which allows improved cooling of the preform neck inside the mold, while at the same time reducing the mold cycle time. A related production process of said injection mold component, which allows the section of the cooling channels to be optimized, determining a more effective cooling, is also described.
Super charger components
A pulley assembly having a body, a shaft mount and a plurality of bolts is disclosed. The body is aligned to the shaft mount by providing a tight tolerance between a shoulder portion of the bolt and a neck portion of a counter sunk hole formed in the body. Additionally, an outer surface of the body may have a pattern of friction lines or patches formed by fusing particulate matter to the outer surface with heat generated by a laser beam.
ANCHORING ASSEMBLY FOR ANCHORING A LINER OF A CURED LINING MATERIAL, A FERRULE SUITABLE FOR USE WITH THE ANCHORING ASSEMBLY, AN ANCHORING MOUNTING ASSEMBLY FURTHER COMPRISING A FERRULE HOLDER AND THE USE OF THE ANCHORING ASSEMBLY
An anchoring assembly for anchoring a liner of a cured lining material arranged to be applied in liquid form to a metal object provided with the anchoring assembly, the anchoring assembly including an elongated mounting pin and a ferrule provided at a first end thereof, wherein the pin is arranged to be mounted at the first end to the metal object, the anchoring assembly further including a plurality of spaced anchor fins connected to the pin at a second end and extending radially outward relative to the pin, wherein the ferrule includes a radially outwardly extending place holder part arranged to be held by a ferrule holder during mounting of the pin at the first end to the metal object.
